I love how the fans don't get why Frieza's form is golden, even tho he said it in the movie. The fans is at bad at remembering as Toriyama somtimes, at least Toriyama has the excuse that he is getting older.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I never had a problem with Freeza's improvement in Hell, I always felt it was like Goku's in his blue form against Merged Zamasu.
I think Freeza always had that much power (like SSB before draining through the aura) but the drain and him not being prepared to handle that, prevented Freeza from wielding it properly. In Hell, Freeza went through mental/spiritual training to learn how to counter the drain.
I prefer to believe that over Freeza improving his physical body in hell without being able to move.

What the deal with this Granola guy? Does he hate Freeza, the Saiyans or both?
Also why again make this a Universe 7 centric arc? We could expect that after ToP there would be more other universes explorations, but yet we seen to be stuck on the same hole again. Funny how even SDBH shorts are better on this regard, I mean we characters like Kefla, Frost, Hit, Dyspo, Toppo and Jiren available, but no we have to still keep with Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha and Roshi (even though most of the are disposable) for that NoStAlGiA appeal that Toyotaro can't get over it.

As a matter of fact, ignoring Namekians and Yardratians, Dragon Ball isn't much creative regarding alien species, we always things like purple humans or talking squids, I wish we had something more like this aproach:DestructoDisc wrote: Thu Jan 28, 2021 5:41 pm I will be nitpicking here but why does Granola look so much like a human? Like, how are we supposed to believe that this guy isn't from earth? I know saiyans look identical to humans too but at least they had tails for awhile. It's why Recoome is my least favorite Ginyu Force member design wise, the guy doesn't look like an alien at all.

Frieza will obtain True Golden Frieza 2.
I wish things like "mastering energy control" were universal things that everyone could do. Why does it only seem to matter with transformations?
Should have been Goku and Krillin's first lesson.

That's the point.
AS FOR a scientific reason, humanoid form surpassed evolution obstacles and we are a dominant specie in a world were even simple particles can kill you for a reason.
Human form kick ass, really.
Bifocal vision, stereophonic spatial sense, structured simmetry, minimal but efficient elastic joints, specialized prehensile appendages, perfect bone structure, damage regeneration, spatial sense... what do you want more? We got everything you need to survive the most hostile place in the universe. You don't need tentacles.
So, probably, evolution will propose humanoids as the winning card everywhere.
For all that we have many flaws. We are more sustainable to chocking then most other animals thanks to our vocal cords. Because we walk upright the birth canal is more narrow then other animals which is why human children are born so premature and why human births have so many complications. Perhaps worst of all though is that despite our greater intelligence and adaptability this comes at the cost of our environment. Considering that, as it stands, we lack the technology to undo the damage we’ve rought or even successfully move beyond our one abused world, being human might not be all it’s cracked up to be in the long run.
Besides evolution is not an upward growing tree, chasing advancement. It’s a a graphs with peaks and drop offs of growth and diversity. Case in point Dinosaurs possessed many biological adaptations we lack as mammals and were tough bastards in their own way. Theirs a dinosaur who’s fossils show that it has a sever bone infection that spread down one one side of its rib cage. It would have been in incredible pain yet the fossil shows signed of healing, indicating it survived. They had a superior respiratory function which allowed them to grow to their huge size and despite their small brain size, they like birds had more nurons then mammals. For example a T. Rex possibly had as many nurons as a chimpanzee.
"Shield up!"
"I can't reach the commands, sir. My arms are too short!"
"Argh, Sulu-saur, maximum warp!"
"I can't Sir, my unifocal vision don't let me judge distances."
"On a second thougth... Spockadont, how we built our ship?"
"That's really fascinating. Probably randomly, as we can't transmit knowledge not having muscular memory that help us to develop methods"
"Uhuraptor, the seat is your. FossilBones, Spockodont, and you, Dodo Bird, let's go to that alien planet. Tasers on stun. Scottyguan, beam four down."
"I can handle tasers! I don't have prehensile hands T_T"
"Shut up, Dodo, and be alert, that planet surely is fulll of dangers and probably ONE OF US will not come back."
"Jim, we cannot go to that planet, is lacking SUN!"
"Sun? Does something like logic stopped us, the pride race of TRex, to reach space and meet other races? Mostly to eat, as is the only impulse we have? We are not like **humans**, that compensate by missing a reproduction season. We DON'T compensate! We ACT!"
**epic music**
(sorry the silly reply, is not the place here to debate such interesting matters)
I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.

You know, it does occur to me that Freeza doesn't use god Ki....yet. He achieved the strength of god-tier fighters just by training for a few months, imagine what Freeza could do if he tapped into his own god power and learned to properly maintain it. He'd catch up to Vegeta at the very least and might even learn a few new tricks to boot. It would be great to see a rematch of Vegeta & Freeza that built upon the oppressive father-figure/unwillingly-adopted son relationship they had for many years.

I said this before, besides Gohan and Piccolo, nothing can be done with any of those characters.Noah wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 5:29 pm What the deal with this Granola guy? Does he hate Freeza, the Saiyans or both?

Spoiler:
The only one might be able to is Tein and the 3 eyed clan thing but he couldn't even get a win against a nameless fodder that base Goku one shotted without trying he's done.
Toriyama ended Roshi's story during the King Piccolo arc, I have no idea why he's been brought back as an important character.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
He hates both. I thought that was made pretty clear in the chapter. The Saiyans destroyed his planet under the direction of Freeza so Granolah has every reason to blame both the Saiyans and Freeza.Noah wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 5:29 pm What the deal with this Granola guy? I have no idea why you people care so much about other universes being used when U7 has been barely explored.

And the sad part is we already know how most of the "strongest" folk in the other universes are trash. The ToP kinda threw a good idea out of the window by putting those lines there (I believe it's in both the mang and the anime?). In any case, I love the world building on Universe 7 and I hope we get even more of it, so the home universe of our characters feels huge and filled with content!OLKv3 wrote: Thu Feb 11, 2021 9:26 pm I have no idea why you people care so much about other universes being used when U7 has been barely explored.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
There's so much lore to Universe 7 and the potential that comes with it is insane. Freeza's business and how he runs thing hasn't yet been explored. The Galactic Patrol and how they do business hasn't been explored. Intergalactic criminals, and so much more. All of that is very interesting to me. I believe that all should be established before we move on to something different.OLKv3 wrote: Thu Feb 11, 2021 9:26 pm I have no idea why you people care so much about other universes being used when U7 has been barely explored.

I wonder if toyotarou will keep the scar on Goku's chest from when moro injured him.
Also the anticipation for this month's drafts is through the roof for me, probably the most I have ever been excited for a Dragon ball super chapter.

The 4 universes that didn't enter the TOP have the highest mortal level so I assume there's even stronger fighters than Jiren in them.Grand Marshal 1 wrote: Thu Feb 11, 2021 9:34 pmAnd the sad part is we already know how most of the "strongest" folk in the other universes are trash. That tournament pretty much killed whatever potential there was with the multiverse concept. I never understood why they were so rushed to introduce all those universes so soon, as that's the kind of concept you take years to build and perfect. It'd be like if Toriyama introduced the Tenkaichi Budokai, The crane school, and Piccolo all in the same arc.Grand Marshal 1 wrote: Thu Feb 11, 2021 9:34 pmAnd the sad part is we already know how most of the "strongest" folk in the other universes are trash. Same, I'm genuinely looking forward to them. When are we expecting them - is it later tonight/tomorrow?

They can still use all the universes if they want to, they could just say that universes did not have a lot of time to find there strongest fighters, and we still have Jiren's enemy and the 4 other universes.Matches Malone wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 11:20 amThat tournament pretty much killed whatever potential there was with the multiverse concept. And you know damn well that Toriyama is not known for taking his time

I think it's because fans are expecting the other Universes to be different somehow from Universe 7, but truth is almost everything can be done using just Universe 7.OLKv3 wrote: Thu Feb 11, 2021 9:26 pm I have no idea why you people care so much about other universes being used when U7 has been barely explored.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Agreed and they pretty much made all the fighters in other Universes feel like fodder. Such a shame
Well I felt the tournament of power was one big missed opportunity in many respects.
