Re: Favorite Ending Songs
don't you see pretty easily, really really pretty song, and i love that sorta mid 90s alt rock-ey sound. but i also really love blue velvet, such a jam, huge hook.
zenkai power is great also ofc and i have huge nostalgia for it, people should check out manna's 1979 album, pretty fun, sorta downbeat, city pop record https://youtu.be/B1aAe3WwpHw

Re: Favorite Ending Songs
'We were angels' is awesome, so I'll go with that.
'Rusty machinegun' from GT is also great, and really works as an emotional send off to classic DB.
'Never give up' from Kai TFC is good too.
A couple of people mentioned 'Boogie back' from Super, and I agree it's good. Most of the ending songs from Super suck, but that one is actually pretty good.
From the movies I'll say "SOS" from Movie 8, and the Movie 13 ending song (I forget the name).

Re: Favorite Ending Songs
After really liking Hello, Hello, Hello I was annoyed/disappointed that they kept changing the song every 13 episodes and they all seemed to get progressively worse and worse so Boogie Back was a pleasant surprise after I gave up on Super’s ever changing ending themes.90sDBZ wrote: Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:30 am

I like almost all of them, but the two that are next level enjoyable are Blue Velvet and Boogie Back.

I love 'Romantic Ageru Yo' from the original series. Don't really care too much about either endings from Z. GT also had a lot of really good endings. Z movie 6 has the best Kageyama song from the anime. I love the first ending from Super and 'Blizzard' from the Broly movie is a fucking banger.

Re: Favorite Ending Songs
"We Were Angels" and "Romantikku Ageru Yo" are probably my favorites.
The GT songs are all great but they sound like they come from an entirely different anime than Dragon Ball. However, "Sabitsuita Mashingan..." I absolutely cannot stand. I want to beat the shit out of it every time it starts playing.

It's a shame they didn't keep Boogie Back for longer. I can't even remember the songs that came after it.MasenkoHA wrote: Wed Aug 04, 2021 7:51 am After really liking Hello, Hello, Hello I was annoyed/disappointed that they kept changing the song every 13 episodes and they all seemed to get progressively worse and worse so Boogie Back was a pleasant surprise after I gave up on Super’s ever changing ending themes.
Re: Favorite Ending Songs
Except the DBS endings, I love all of them.
Romantic Ageru yo is just beautiful, plus the wonderful videoclip.
Zenkai Power isn't really a fav of mine, but damn it, I listen to it and I feel like I'm back in the 5th grade and can't wait for tomorrow's episode.
We Are Angels is also great, and great imagery, and it does make me feel like a kid too.
GT's endings aren't as great as the previous endings but they are rather good. I prefer the first one over the second one.
I do not enjoy DBS endings. That nanajuu senchi window ending and boogie back sure don't work for me.
edit: I also absolutely love their dub versions. For the openings too, except for the DBS songs (openings and endings).

ZENKAI POWAA is a big favorite of mine, but I am surprised Blue Velvet hasn’t been mentioned yet.
Also, 70 cm Square Window almost made me cry.

Re: Favorite Ending Songs
I should add that perhaps I don't enjoy the DBS endings because I used to skip the ending to get to the NEP. Something I never did with the other endings because I couldn't do that, being a TV broadcast and all. They just stuck on my brain, I never gave a chance to the newer endings.

Re: Favorite Ending Songs
In terms of being the most iconically “DB”—gotta give it to “I’ll Give You Romance.”
Favorites, though? Either “Don’t You See?” or “Blue Velvet.”
Don’t feel very strongly about any of the others, honestly.

Re: Favorite Ending Songs
My absolute favourites are I'll Give You Romance (DB) and Hitori Janai (GT). Don't You See (GT) is also great. GT's soundtrack was seriously fantastic.

2.) Collect rest of manga
3.) Get rest of Daizenshuu (2-7)

Re: Favorite Ending Songs
Big fan of "We Were Angels", specially for the latam dub of the song.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Haven't we already gotten these in GT? Goku dies, the DBs go away, and the Namekian DBs most likely won't be used again because of the Evil Dragons.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.
