I feel like I saw it happen but just can't remember where or how.

In Future Trunks timeline, we saw them make a wish when #17 and #18 were attacking South City. They probably made the wish during the three year training peroid before Dr. Gero and #19 show up in Goku's timeline.

This is correct. One of the volumes of the Super manga has this as a bonus story.
The story of DRAGON BALL starts from the moment Goku met Bulma. I don't really mind the Z, so long as it's understood that it's not the true beginning of the story.

I actually prefer the Goku vs Tenshinhan and Goku vs Piccolo Jr. rivalries to the Goku vs Vegeta rivalry.

Gosh, my memory must be completely frizzled. I was sure the de-aging occur before anything Super related.

Thanks for the info.

While their de-aging was casually mentioned in Battle of Gods (the actual 2013 film), it's not mentioned at all during the Dragon Ball Super television series or during the course of regular Dragon Ball Super manga chapters: as noted, these events were shown in a bonus chapter of the Dragon Ball Super manga that was included in the Jump Victory Carnival 2016 Official Guidebook (and later included in Volume 2 of the collected manga).

I feel like stuff that happens in the DBS manga can applied for the Super anime unless it contradicts it. It was even implied that Shin and Kibito were killed by Dabra in the DBS anime when Trunks said "Many lives were lost on that day". Pilaf, Shu, and Mai wishing to become younger sometime after Age 764 probably did happen.
