Yeah, the forum does that with some terms. Other examples of stuff that's autocorrected are "h-e-r-c-u-l-e" to "Mr. Satan", "t-i-e-n" to "Tenshinhan", "f-r-i-e-z-a" to "Freeza". :P
Yeah, eat that, dub names.

If it were me, I'd throw in one for Fasha -> Selypa, too, but maybe that's just a pet peeve of mine.

Wait, so if I type F-r-i-e-z-a, it changes it to Freeza.

Let's see - FRIEZA!

EDIT

Holy crap it does! Talk about hating dub-names.

I still don't see what's so wrong with "Pikkon", unless it's just a personal bugaboo of VegettoEX.

I don't really see what's wrong with F-r-i-e-z-a either, but meh - it's his forum, his rules, his way, his business. All up to him. His power is over 9000 after all!

How long have these filters been in effect anyway? The whole time and I never noticed?

Why don't I use the term bugaboo more often?

It's a dumb sounding word that sounds like "pylon"? :P

And let's face it. It's not hard to say "Paikuhan". Something like "Krillin" is an adaptation. Something like Frieza is just an odd spelling. Something like Pikkon is a pointless change. And pointless changes are things that can really hurt any kind of adaptation.

Just wanted to point out that a lot of tracks have been completed.

Here's some more of the "targeted" tracks, though not all of them started that way.

Vegeta Theme: (this may not be on the album cause it's so blatant...its a free dl right now)

Ginyu Transformation (references only)

Just went through all of em'.

SSJ 3 THEME (NEW) - It was pretty good; but it didn't feel as exciting or interesting as the original. Nonetheless, I liked the guitar work.

Paikuhan Theme (NEW) - Very funky, especially the beginning. It had a 'hip-hop' ish feel to it. Again, I'd have to say the original that you did was way better.

Vegeta Theme - Really awesome remix of sorts. It totally blows the original away; HARD!

Ginyu Transformation (references only) - Strange, isn't this the Kamehameha piece you did? I guess you've renamed it. Anyways, didn't like this one. It's a bit of a mess with tiny tiny portions that kept me interested.

Garlic Jr - I've always thought that the Garlic Jr pieces were excellent. A creeping, brooding vibe; I like.

Vegeta SSJ and SSJ3 references - I remember listening to this on your YouTube profile. Really enjoyable to listen to.

Overall, judging by these tracks, I feel like you're holding back or something. Most of your songs (the ones that I've listened to anyways..) present a lot of interesting sounds and combinations, but they never go anywhere most of the time. It's like the listener is expecting the song to let go and turn into something epic, but it just most of them just sound a little too 'anti-climatic'?

As always, I'm lookin foreward to whatever you'll bring onto the table next. Almost always a pleasure to listen to a few new pieces from you.

THanks for the honest feedback man!

Honestly...anything DBZ that I do is me holding back. This is a style we were doing back in 1999-2000. As a composer\arranger I've moved on quite a bit. I try to throw in hints of what I'm more about now-a-days.

If you listen to the Shrubbery of Darkness album, that's me fully unleashed. And I'm actually working on a piece for a contest that's way out of the DBZ style. Its more of a full on Hollywood score kinda thing (hopefully better though)

Some notes, the SSJ3 piece was one that didn't start out meaning to be an SSJ3 track. I just laid a groove down and that lead sounded good over it. It's the first time I've ever used that sound.

The new Pikkon track is one of my favs, mainly for the heavy ending, that's just me though ^^ I'm a metal head at heart, though I definitely write in a variety of styles.

(btw, there's a Shrubbery Sampler vid on utube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ4SnvcBvAY)

I listened to all them them. The Vegeta Theme was excellent, the Garlic Jr. song was great, and the Vegeta SSJ and SSJ3 song was also good. The others were okay, but I wasn't as impressed with them overall.

One comment from a totally biased listener. I hated the Paikuhan Theme insofar as I felt that the hip-hop stylistic nature of the track was oozing with wasted potential. That ending part was so good, but the slower beat really killed the song for me. Now, in fairness, I think my opinion has been colored by the fact that I despise hip-hop and rap in any capacity, and am thoroughly offended by either alleged 'style.' As I noted, I am admittedly biased. I like rock, classical, and some other types of music; knowing how good you are with rock and metal styles, I felt that the Paikuhan Theme could have had so much more going for it than hip hop.

Either way, great job on the other tracks, and I especially love some of the songs at your website. You are very talented, and I'm glad to be able to hear more songs from you.

 Yeah the hip hop thing in the Pikkon theme was me just getting silly. I would have NEVER done that for the real show...unless Pikkon whipped out some shades and started rapping lol..

I was just scrolling through some electronic kits and when I played that beat it made me laugh so I started going with it.

I think my sillines gets the best of me sometimes...(Kamehameha The Great...Kill the Beast...SH00Z3)

Good ideas man. There's a little Spirit Bomb stuff in Sageism. Other two are definitely good ideas...but the album is actually complete already now. I'm getting ready to make prints and send them off to CDBaby this weekend :)

In fact, here's the cover done by Nominee84 on Youtube!

cRookie_Monster, your new Paikuhan theme is excellent. I love it. I'm already a fan of your work. Will all of your new stuff be available for purchase or download?

And if you want a physical CD, they will be available on CDBaby.com in about 1-2 weeks I think.

So who is that supposed to be on the cover? It looks like Gogeta wearing GT Vegeta's clothes.

Nice! I'm definitely getting myself a copy. Can you please give us a heads up when they become available on CDBaby?

By the way, "Sageism" is breathtaking.

EDIT: I see you've already done one album called "Shrubbery of Darkness". Sounds pretty good man. You've got talent for sure. 8)
