I've become inclined to believe that the joke in Super was less Goku being "what is kiss," and more just "that's a weird way to feed someone a senzu." Helluva lot better than being expected to think he doesn't know what a kiss is after 20+ years of marriage and two kids.

In the manga he outright says that he never kissed Chi Chi. And since Toriyama was more involved with Toyotaro I’m going with that one.

Don't know about that, but long time ago when AS was showing previews of Shin Chan, there's one episode where the mom is saying said line while beating up her husband, and it instantly made me think, "I think I know how Gohan was conceived now."
