Wow, Nozawa and Schemmel have switched their pronunciations, that's weird.

Well, I got the game working around 12:00 and now I just beat the first part of the Cell Saga.

I finished the Z Chronicals mode, and now I'm pissed. Horribly pissed.

I'm Bardock. He's my main character. Why does he suck so much? Sure, I beat a couple of guys, but Bardock can only dodge so much beam spam. Why is it that Riot Javalin always loses out to some other attack, like Makosen?

In the mean time, I'll be on Burst Limit for most of the day. Feel free to contact me if you feel the need to lose.

Hasn't Nozawa always had a tendency to say her 'ai's as 'ei's?

Okay, so I've been playing through almost all of the story mode, and must say this game is very disappointing.
So many details are left out (Budokai 1 had 3-4 time more cut scenes), inaccurate happenings, and a lot of wrong clothing/looks.
The game isn't that fast either. Quite a big disappointment all in all. I prefer Shin Budokai over this. Only good thing about Burst Limit are the graphics.

Edit:
Okay, so I played in two player mode, against my brother, and that was much more fun than playing computer. Gameplay's not too shabby and can be fast paced depended on how you play. I can't forgive the weak story mode though.

Your probably refering to Goku wearing the shirt with the symbol on it and Gohan not wearing Saiya-Jin armor when you say" a lot of wrong clothing/looks.". Big deal. "Budokai 1 had 3-4 time more cut scenes" There are plenty cutscenes, even if Budokai had more, it's not by that much. "Not fast"? You're ADD then or something. I don't even know how to respond to..."inaccurate happenings"? What? :?

Uh, no. I was not. What struck me the most was that Freeza was not cut in half, Trunks having his sword in the fight against cell, loads of fights in the story mode left out... Just loads of loads and more loads of details to the story in general let out, plus censoring.

True, but this is inconsistent because her pronunciation of "Kaioken" has always been the correct one in the anime and video games before Burst Limit. The same can be said with her "sanbai" and "yonbai", which she pronounced incorrectly as "sanbei" and "yonbei" in this game, but pronounced them correctly in the anime. I'm wondering why she's changing the pronunciations this time around. Maybe to make Goku's overall speech more consistent?

I too am disappointed at the cutscenes in story mode. When you unlock the movies, the characters move around and their mouths flap. I would have thought that these would have been includes in the progress through the story and the movie would be sort of a recap.

Also, what's up with all the turtles?!?! All of my fights after the Saiyan arc have been filled with turtles. I'v had the AI stand and do nothing but block for seconds at a time. And the thing is that if I do what needs to be done to fight them and open them up, I get a week rating. Sometimes I have to take a couple of hits just to find some kind of opening. It wouldn't be so bad if they were teleporting out of my attacks, as long as their doing something.

Has anyone found a place were it tells you how to unlock the Drama Pieces?

Oh lord, it's horrible and gets worse as you keep going. I lost to Kuririn. With Broli. Twice. Then I figured out that I could just spam guard breaks with "Y" and I beat pretty much everyone on the first try.

Does the american version 360/PS3 have the ability to switch to JP voice acting with english subs?

Yeah but if you spam or work around it the best way you know how, you get poor scores after the match. I really wanted to get all "Z" ranks. I did but I had to redo a lot of matches. I've never played a fighting game where the computer blocks that much. At least in others they would dodge or parry, not just sit there blocking.

When voicing Goku she does, but that's because Goku speaks that way. For Gohan and Goten she has has them pronounce things properly, since that's how they talk in the manga. Though in the manga Goku does say the ai sounds in words like kaiouken and sanbai correctly, but this might just be because those words were written out in kanji and Toriyama (or whoever was in charge of lettering) didn't want to bother to have the furigana reflect Goku's accent. Nozawa followed this for how she voiced Goku in the anime; if she's changing it now that it's probably like Kvon suggested, than she's trying to make Goku talk more consistently.

Son Goku in english, Kaioken being pronounced correctly, Nozawa pronouncing it wrong, and then the 9000 meme.

...there's something "weird" about next-gen DBZ....

Yes, but the subtitles are dubtitles.

Though the video games have been dubbed much more accurately than the anime.

That is something that I've always loved about Dragonball. Goku and ChiChi both talk like hicks, and Gohan uses proper speech. Even when he was a four year old. It's something that I've never seen attempted in any English version of Dragonball.

I like how using the "Risking It All For a Friend" Drama Piece can produce special lines depending on the player/partner. Protecting Cell with Freeza made me giggle. Plus, it looks hilarious watching Freeza run in for the save like ala Piccolo.

Maybe the Buu Saga will have Inert Balls?

Since they're doing updates eventually we should complain and ask them to make translated subs for the Japanese audio.
