I was recently in contact with someone named John Gardner, who provided audio samples of FUNimation's box "rough draft" broadcast before TOEI stopped them.

Although FUNimation was quickly forced to change their script for home release due to many concerns, this topic is still widely debated. In the Manga, people believe that Mystic Gohan is stronger, but as you can hear in the recording marked as spoiler, SSJ3 Goku is stronger!

This is a really weird and almost parodic way to title a thread. I naturally assumed a Rickroll when clicking the link.

FUNimation’s English dub script has no weight or bearing on the original subject matter in any way, shape, or form. If you’re that deep in the weeds with these types of strength comparisons, their dub isn’t even a curiosity — it’s a non-starter.

Toei would never have cared one way or the other what FUNimation was writing in their scripts, would never have stepped in to correct them or alter them, etc., particularly during this timeframe.

Lol this is so fake but good work XD. Besides this would be funimation fucking stuff up for their dub, not canon. And if Toei stopped them that proves it WASN'T canon.

We all know western companies actually have the final word on japanese manga, nevermind the original author. It all comes down to whatever John Smith wants it to be.
