The Jaco manga should have been such a thing. It would have made sense for it too as it would have simply followed on from where the opening of Broly left off.

They TECHNICALLY made one; it was about the history of Japan (not counting WWII times) but with Dragon Ball characters

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
If I had to guess, they're confusing the 2007 "Japan Hero Awards" segment as being something Super-related.

I think a sample of what they're talking about is here:
https://youtu.be/JzIsnRt4e60
I assumed it was Super related myself since it has Whis.

Actually, yeah there is!sangofe wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 11:25 pmHuh. Is there a record of that anywhere?FPSSJ4_Goku wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 2:02 pmThey TECHNICALLY made one; it was about the history of Japan (not counting WWII times) but with Dragon Ball characters
Yajirobe is a caveman, Goten and Trunks are villagers, Bulma is Himiko, Vegeta is Oda Nobunaga, Freeza is Akechi Mitsuhide, the Muten Roshi is Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Mr. Satan is Ishida Mitsunari, and Karin is Tokugawa Ieyasu.
...of course, I have no idea who any of those people are...

Toei Animation will be at Japan Expo 2022, which is from July 14th to July 17th. Perhaps they announce another DBS movie ... or dare I say it the continuation of the anime?!
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I think neither.PrinceVegetto wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 12:22 am Toei Animation will be at Japan Expo 2022, which is from July 14th to July 17th. Perhaps they announce another DBS movie ... or dare I say it the continuation of the anime?!

I do too. I dont see the DBS anime coming back soon, especially if they learned from last time how announcing a series so soon after a movie went for them.sangofe wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 12:43 amI think neither.PrinceVegetto wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 12:22 am Toei Animation will be at Japan Expo 2022, which is from July 14th to July 17th. Does this mean I'll have to wait until 2025 to see a new DBS anime?Dbzfan94 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:56 pmI do too. Considering the above quote from Iyoku and the curious absence of Sumitomo and a theme song for Superhero, I'm 50/50 on 2uper coming back this year and replacing DQ Dai/Digimon. If something else takes both of their slots this year though, yeah, he's dead Jim.

People have been saying "it'll come back after (this series) ends" for years now. it's legit the Geekdom did. "CONFIRMED APRIL 2019!" (doesnt happen) "CONFIRMED MAY 2019!" (doesnt happen)" CONFIRMED JUNE 2019" over and over.CashmanX wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 10:22 pm Considering the above quote from Iyoku and the curious absence of Sumitomo and a theme song for Superhero, I'm 50/50 on 2uper coming back this year and replacing DQ Dai/Digimon. Yeah, I don't keep up with DB Youtube in general so I'm not sure where this sentiment is coming from.Dbzfan94 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 10:34 pmPeople have been saying "it'll come back after (this series) ends" for years now. it's legit the Geekdom did. Back in 2019 pre-covid? Yeah I'd agree with you.
Now? This would probably be one of the better times IF they were planning on debuting something (although a new OP movie might get in the way production wise I feel) considering two timeslots are opening up and a new DBS movie just debuted.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I am positive a Dragon Ball anime will come back on TV. But why would it be announced now on Japan Expo? That is very unlikely.

Full series steelbooks on pre-order for the series on US Amazon for $199.98 USD.

I was expecting season sets first, but this is cool too.

Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

According to @DBSChronicles on Twitter:
"#DragonBallSuperSuperHero "Blockbuster Thank You Stage Greeting" to be held on June 25th!
Venue: T-Joy PRINCE Shinagawa
Time: 19:25
At the same event on Apr 28, 2015, DBS Anime was announced.
So, should we expect something this time too?"
