Which non-fighter characters contributed?
I created this to see which none fighter character contributed to Dragon Ball.
The idea is normally fighters are known for their feat and contribution, but this thread will highlight the none fighter.
I will start with one Dende on Namek, without Dende help then Vegeta wouldn't get his Zenkai, Piccolo would be dead against 3rd Form Freeza, Krillin against 2nd Form Freeza and Gohan against 2nd Form or 3rd Form Freeza.
Basically there would be no reason for Freeza to not destroy Namek, if Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin died against 2nd form or 3rd Form Freeza, so Goku wouldn't get the chance to survive or fight.
If Piccolo died, there would be no Dragon Ball again, which thanks to Dende that was avoided.

That is true it was thanks to Bulma that the Z fighters can even get their hands on a Dragon Ball Radar and revive anyone they want.
It was thanks to Bulma learning Namekian that get them to Namek.
In DBS Anime Bulma risked her life to stall for Future Trunks to learn Mafuba.
Without Bulma, then Goku wouldn't think of what is out there in the world. He would be ignorant of the world and just live in the mountain.
He wouldn't know anything about human and how their society works.
Lets not forget Bulma Time Machine, without that device then the Z fighters would die against the Androids.
That gave Goku time to heal, without Dende all the fighters would die and Freeza would assume there is no one on Namek, therefore destroying Namek while Goku is in the healing tank.MasenkoHa wrote:Fat lot of good that did Veggie boy.
Without Piccolo, then there would be no Earth Dragon Ball to revive all the Namekians and they wouldn't be able to use Porunga to teleport everyone to earth.

You're basically saying that:And, you know, that's not wrong.
Code: Select all
Bulma : Goku = Hermione : Harry PotterRe: Which non-fighter characters contributed?
Without Babidi there would be no Buu awakened which means no Good Buu or Uub and they'd all die to moro

Bulma is an obvious choice but Mr. Satan deserves some credit too. If not for his celebrity status, Goku wouldn't have gotten the genki he needed for the Spirit Bomb.
He also defeated Majin Boo with words.

Mister Satan was also instrumental to Gohan's SSJ2 transformation, by throwing 16's head, but I thought he wasn't eligible for this topic since he's technically a fighter.

Yeah but he's so weak compared to any other notable fighter in the series that he might as well not be a fighter.nineko wrote: Tue Jul 12, 2022 8:56 am Mister Satan was also instrumental to Gohan's SSJ2 transformation, by throwing 16's head, but I thought he wasn't eligible for this topic since he's technically a fighter.

I didn't think of Mr Satan, while he is a fighter he contributed in ways that doesn't involve fighting himself.
Lets not forget making Buu a friends was a huge contribution also, heck that would have been the end of the Buu Saga had no one shot the dog and Mr Satan.

Does Yajirobe count as a figher in the saiyan saga when he cut off Vegeta's tail?

Uranai Baba has also been helpful from time to time. Sure she can be greedy, but she located a dragon ball once, not to mention her ability to bring dead people in the living world for 24 hours.
Re: Which non-fighter characters contributed?
Dr. Brief re-built the ship that put Goku on Namek. He also fixed Android 16 and removed the bomb, and the android ended up being the one that helped Gohan release his anger. Removing the bomb turned out to be key to those developments.
Kaio sama was key in the saiyan and Namek arc, specially with coming up with the plan for moving everybody from a dying Namek to Earth.
Mr. Popo saved Dende after Super Buu's rampage, without kami, Kid Buu would've won.
We can talk about the kaioshin, they aren't fighters but they do fight. In the Buu arc and in the Moro arc, they ended up being really useful.

Re: Which non-fighter characters contributed?
Puar and Oolong in the original series provided Goku and Bulma with transportation, helped rescue the carrotised Bulma from Boss Rabbit, prevented Pilaf from wishing for his world dominating kingdom, transformed into a sharp implement used to cut off a rampaging Oozaru Goku's tail, collaborated with Upa to defeat Dracula Man, and helped Beerus and Whis to maintain the illusion of Monaka being a powerful fighter for Goku while preventing the fight with the masked Hakaishin from escalating.
As far as non-combatants go they made for a good impression; probably one of the best outside of obvious examples like Bulma and Dende.

Re: Which non-fighter characters contributed?
Obviously Bulma is the main contributor as she’s the one that started the whole adventures in the first place , was a major help in the Android/Cell Saga, and invented the Time Machine for her son to save their future
which he eventually succeeded in doing thanks to her giving him the means to do so
Another character that majorly contributes but is very rarely talked about is Dr Briefs bc he’s so overshadowed by his daughter and usually just takes the backseat with his extremely mellow personality making him pretty bland and forgettable for the most part
Anyway without him making a Spaceship Goku would not have been able to get to Namek to save everyone and eventually finally defeat Frieza
Also Dr Briefs made the Gravity Room for Vegeta to train in who still used in the Buu Saga to train with Kid Trunks
Actually his technology in general helps with transportation and convenience with the various capsules he invented including his daughters Time Machine that she was able to create due to his Capsule Corp technology
King Kai helped Goku train and master the Kaoiken and helped him communicate with everyone on Earth while he was in Otherworld
He also helped train Yamcha, Piccolo, Tien, and Chiaotzu to get strong enough to defeat the Ginyu Force
Kami and Mr Popo helped significantly in the Cell Saga by introducing the Hyperbolic Time Chamber so Gohan could eventually become strong enough to defeat Cell thanks to it
Not to mention Kami’s fusion with Piccolo made him about as powerful as a Super Saiyan
Korin’s Senzu Beans saved everyone countless times from serious injuries and even sometimes from death throughout the series
Yajarobe who normally is a coward and not prone to fighting ultimately defeated Vegeta when he cut off his tail
Dende of course guiding Gohan and Krillin to Guru ,healing them when they needed it , summoning Parunga to make their wishes for them, and ultimately becoming the new guardian of Earth
which he eventually succeeded in doing thanks to her giving him the means to do so

I dunno, it doesn't seem COMPLETELY out of the picture that a Universal Spirit Bomb isn't possible in the Buu saga. Surely a good chunk of the universe would be willing to help Goku defeat an ancient evil like Buu, right?DBZAOTA482 wrote: Tue Jul 12, 2022 8:18 am Goku wouldn't have gotten the genki he needed for the Spirit Bomb.

I would say yes, he was in the battle field, he was following the combat, he had a weapon and he used it, he was kind of a key element in that fight.Cursed Lemon wrote: Tue Jul 12, 2022 12:09 pm Does Yajirobe count as a figher in the saiyan saga when he cut off Vegeta's tail?
No one talks about Uulong but he was loaded and when he no longer had to support the pretty girls he would instead share his money with Roshi living at Kame house, helping with the expenses of the house where Krillin was allowed to stay for while, even with his wife and child, I call that a contribution of a non-fighter too.
