Powerlevels from the manga

So, I've been thinking, and I've decided I want to expand my Freeza-Buu power level list to cover everything from the start of the series to Buu. And, as with the Freeza stuff, I'm going to ignore the Daizenshuu. As I'm not entirely sure what is Daizenshuu only and what comes from the manga I'm asking here. I know a few of the levels but not a lot.

So what are the various levels given in the manga?

Edit: Most of these are VIZ translated. The only ones I have changed were those which happen to be either incorrect or mistranslated by VIZ.

Volume 17

Farmer - "Power level...only 5.”

Piccolo - "Power 322."

Son Goku - "Powers 322 and 334! One has Kakarrot's power...exactly.”

Son Gohan (confined in space pod) - "Power 710!! And close!! Where?! What?! That...infant?!"

Piccolo (weighted clothing removed) - "What!? His power...jumping to 408...!”

Son Goku (weighted clothing removed) - "And Kakarrot...up to 416...!"

Son Goku (preparing the Kamehameha) - "I-impossible!!! His battle power is going up!!! Battle power 924...!!!"

Piccolo (preparing the Makankosappo) - "That one...1,020...1,030...!!!! It's unbelievable!!!!"

Piccolo (using the Makankosappo) - "Power...1,330...!!!! And all focused in his finger-tips...?!!!"

Son Gohan (enraged) - "Power...Level...1,307...?!"

If the farmer's strength were only 5, he's a pretty able farmer, considering that Goku's strength at the beginning of Dragon Ball (according to Daizenshuu #5 I believe) was 10, and he could pick up Bulma's vehicle pretty easily, I believe.

I was always under the impression that after the Frieza arc (because there were no more scouters) power levels based on that scale were irrelevant. I've seen a comprehensive list of power levels, and I'll see if I can pull it up again, but other than the Daizenshuu guides, how is it even possible to measure these?

There it is. It doesn't go back into the Dragon Ball days, and I have no idea how accurate this is, but as simply comprehensive as it is, I can't help but be awed by it.

Daizenshuu 7 is the one with the battle power chart. It goes from the start of DragonBall up to the Freeza arc, and says that calculating the battle powers of Goku and co. past that point is impossible, due to all the transformations and fusions and such.

Ah, thank you. I had just read about the chart somewhere on this forum, I was unsure which Daizenshuu it was, and the chart I posted was one I was completely unsure of.

The farmer had his shotgun. Take away his gun, and it will be less than 1.

Scouters measure ki, which an inanimate object like a gun wouldn't have.

It seems that chart was made by Duo, who is also a member here. I believe he's actually said that his thoughts have changed since making that. At any rate, the chart gives 100% full power Freeza as being at 12 million, which isn't right. Daizenshuu 7 puts him at 120 million, but apart from that Freeza has to be much greater than 12 million due to... a whole bunch of stuff that we've argued a lot about and it'd take too long to summarize. But anyway, the figure of 12 million for 100% Freeza comes from a mistranslation of Daizenshuu 7's battle power chart by Greg Werner that became widespread due to its use on Planet Namek.com.

Not only that, but Kaioken powerups are a definate math equation that is more or less unarguable. If the math doesn't add up on those, I don't even look any further, as that's a direct indicator of opinion based. I have a fairly accurate list I compiled, but as much as anyone tries, myself included, it is very difficult to stick to the math and logic of it all and not call foul in your mind on some of it when it doesn't make sense like you think it should.

Yeah, he made that list years ago, when he was a staffer on MFG. Back then, nobody really knew that the combat ratings of 12,000,000 and 15,000,000 were mistranslations. Or, if anyone knew, they weren't telling anyone.

Not really. When you consider that the point difference to create big changes in actual strength is really small a single point at that level is a huge difference. Also note that Goku's first Kamehameha barely dented in the car door (a grennade would have done more damage) and the fact that Goku could (at least subconciously) use his Ki for strength while the farmer would be relagated to musscle power only and it makes sense.
