ROFL. Life lessons from Son-kun. Priceless.Captain Awesome wrote:It saved my life.backthen wrote:Well, is there any background on it?
I wouldn't listen to GI Joe, I wouldn't listen to the Transformers, I wouldn't listen to anyone.
Then Goku came along.
I love how even in an educational video Muten Roshi still seems to be looking for some Pafu-Pafu

Unless you speak Japanese, he must be very inspirational to save your life through words when you can't even understand him.Captain Awesome wrote:It saved my life.backthen wrote:Well, is there any background on it?

I see these two videos as well as the Fuji TV Year End Special to be the rarest Dragonball videos ever. The Fuji TV Year End Special has never even been released and these two specials are only available on the extremely expensive Dragonbox Z Volume 2. I do however, find these two safety videos to be much more entertaining than the Fuji TV Year End Special, they are very much like the original show, yet they are still very unique.
Here's what I believe to be the rarest Dragonball videos:
Goku's Traffic Safety
Goku's Fire Fighting Regiment
Fuji TV Year End Special

That third video reminds me of my old movie 7 fansub; washed out and painful to watch (yes, I did buy the DVD when it was released in the US, but for some reason my brother still doesn't want to get rid of the fansub).
I'm honestly surprised these were never translated into english and shown to school kids. It'd be like that 80s tv anti-smoking tv special with all the Saturday morning cartoon characters. (Anybody else know what I'm talking about? It had the Chipmunks and the Muppet Babies and a few Smirfs I think...)

Actually, they were released with the DragonBall Dragon Box. As far as the 1993 Fuji TV year-end special goes, I'm still pissed that Toei didn't put that on one of the Z Dragon Boxes.SSj_Rambo wrote:The Fuji TV Year End Special has never even been released and these two specials are only available on the extremely expensive Dragonbox Z Volume 2.
I know you have it in your archives Toei, so why didn't you release it?!

I've got these subtitled, and I didn't find them particularly inspirational, although I must admit that I haven't been hit by a car or caught on fire since I viewed them.
