I'm beginning to think Shueisha prohibited Dimps from giving Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan to the characters. Xeno Trunks is still in Super Saiyan God since 2019, Shallot and Giblet are also stuck in it for quite a while now. It's cool their fusion and all, but maybe they're trying to distract us from this fact by doing it instead.

Well, at least we now have our first fused character using Super Saiyan God, which Gogeta and Vegetto should have appeared using it as well by now.

Trunks I understand because maybe if he returns again one day, he might learn Blue in canon, so they don't want to take the hype away from such moment. But Shallot is a game-only character so I think he should be safe game.

What I hate is that Cabba can't go SS3 until the anime makes it canon. He's training with Shallot, but can't grow.

A UL Gogeta Blue is something that i didn't really have any crazy thoughts on after seeing the initial reveal and intro splash screen, though I'd like to see it's performance during PVP before I take the plunge in getting him. I don't really see Kaioken Blue as much these days and even UL Broly does not have much uses, but there sure are plenty of Gogetas.

Its pretty cool we have Shallet a thing now, and I do like his design a bit, but does anyone else find it a little weird that Shallot and Giblet managed to flawlessly execute the Fusion dance the first time around? I mean we know the process Trunks, Goten, Vegeta and so on had doing these tasks.
Also, was I the only one who mentally screamed at Black and Zamasu to use the Potaras? Although given the point in the story, I won't be surprised if they would have them fuse, alongside the corruption that comes along it.
Or maybe I'm just a lifeless fanboy with too much free time on his hands? Hmm..

The fight isn't over yet. That will probably be the next step. I'm surprised Buu never used his ability to clone himself to counter the Goku Black clones. I'm also surprised Shallet is locked behind certain missions. I assume we'll get them as a playable character or transformation later.

I'm often surprised with how long it takes for this game to deliver on the obvious choices. Still no Orange Piccolo? Another Gogeta Blue? Interesting choice. Maybe it's because the Dragon Ball Super anime is gone, so they feel the need to hold back popular characters, so they can draw people back in later. The first time it felt to me like a popular character was taking forever to be introduced to the game was with Ultra Instinct Goku, which did happen to appear at the tail end of the anime.

That said, I'd say that the main villain, as he is now, should be able to defeat even Beast Gohan. Not gonna spoil too much, but he's about to engage both Beerus and Goku in battle and have reflected his Hakai technnique back on him at one point.

I thought they left it vague what time the present is in Legends on purpose. Like we've never seen present Goku go all out against anyone.

He captured Kaioshin so he could make Beerus stay still with that threat, yes. But after he finished the first phase of his plan, he did obtain the power necessary to face gods like Beerus in direct battle. More than that would be a spoiler tho, so I'll leave it at that for now.

Didn't like much these new banners, I mean no new characters at all, just the same ones with a different kit/animation.

Speaking of animation, gosh... could that be the worst artwork Legends ever produced? And that's speaking about the game is often praised by it's art.

LF 17 is kinda of a joke when people were expecting to be Kefla also why her F2P version is not in her base form? We already had 2 SSJ2 versions of her in this game.

UL Hit is interesting, but still meh... I'm probably saying that because of my bad luck while trying summoning ULTRAs.

These recent chapters were quite good, Shallet different of many characters in DB universe actually used real sense and didn't let Zamasu and Black fuse for pride bullsh*t. I didn't expect Zamasu would be sealed by Zahha though.
The planets as scenarios for the aproaching battles were nice for a change, but I know I may sound repetitive... as this game power levels doesn't operate quite like the series, but they expect us to believe Cabba will be enough to deal with Eis Shenron? The Red Twins had a lot of trouble with Syn Shenron and yet we're supposed to believe God Giblet with assist of ants like Bardock and Tora will be enough to beat the shadow dragon? Also Zahha may have really something good up to his sleeve to just go face-to-face with Whis, Beerus, Goku and Gohan.

But anyway that montage was cool:

Honestly I'm just kind of glad they were actually able to implement time skip in some form, with the timer and even the camera halting whenever a time skip is successful. Real awkward if it is the middle of the camera changing though.

To be fair, it's not like the story is trying to say Cabba will win, just that he doesn't care about the dragon's power as far as his mission of saving Caulifla is concerned. Usual shonen fluff, I liked it.

Let's not forget that Bardock and co managed to surprise DBS Freeza a little while ago, so they playing support to Giblet isn't far fetched. Them winning is another story tho.

And Zahha already did it before and came out "winning" thanks to the Omnificence Crystal. I think his confidence is warranted here.

Not much to say for these past two months, I still have my bad luck with ULTRAs, so yea no Goku Black and no Kid Boo either, but this last one is because I don't intent to summon it. DBL anniversary is next month so I'm saving some CC for something good that might come there.

Not a fan of this trend of releasing dual char units, but hey I finally got the Blue Boys and that's almost two years since their release lol

Beerus taking the lead, asking the others to leave so he could fight Zahha and actually expecting to die in this match... was something that at the same time I thought it was badass, but also disappointing cause I would love to see this in the core series. People always wanted to see his full power, the GoD actually fighting seriously, so even though it's just a mobile game, I appreciate Legends for taking this route.
Cabba & Kale vs. Eis Shenron and brainwashed Caulifla was meh, but I will give some credit for giving the shadow dragon a little more characterization he had it in GT. I was fooled into thinking I would play with the controlled Berserk Kale, but in the end it was just a build to use her dual unit with Caulifla and finish the enemy.

Gave this game a break for a while, because it started to feel like a chore. I got back in today, and man do I hate when I log in to find they've added another dozen features. More items to collect to upgrade your character, but now there's a chance for the upgrade to fail, which is just...why? How do new players even get into this game? It feels like you need a masters degree to understand all the mechanics, modes, etc in the game. And that's not even getting into how long it takes to just get past all the daily stuff that pops up when you open the game for the first time in the day. I just wanted to jump into the story, but this took the wind out of my sails.

Well, here we are, our first Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan besides Goku and Vegeta. Who could've thought it was going to be Shallot of all people? I thought it was going to be Xeno Trunks the first one. Maybe Shallot getting it means Xeno Trunks will get it too at the anniversary event in the end of this year.

Well, it could be that Super Saiyan Blue was off limits before, but things have changed. Blue is no longer the top level of power. Goku has multiple Ultra Instinct forms, Vegeta has Ultra Ego (although it has yet to be shown in animation), Gohan has Beast form, and Piccolo has Orange form. Blue isn't as special now, so maybe now other characters are allowed to go Blue.

Although Xenoverse 2 allowed CaCs to go both Blue and Evolution for a while, so maybe not. lol

We finally reached the 5th anniversary of DBL, and I've already talked about it here, so it's not really news, but I usually follow things about the game on the Reddit page, and the reception for this celebration compared to last year's has been much more positive. I can confirm that myself, there's much more free content/CC... one of my old complaints was the lack of new characters (usually they were just recycled versions of the same ones), but in one of the recent banners, they added some new (forgotten) ones like Kyawei and Kahseral. Speaking of these banners, I usually have good luck during DBL anniversaries, in this last one with the new characters, I only missed out on Jiren (transforming) and Orange Piccolo, but I got most of them. It's very likely that the third part (unfortunately) will feature ULTRA Vegetto Blue, and since I have terrible luck with characters of that rarity, maybe I won't even bother trying.

I always complain/question the consistency of power levels in this game, so when I found out that Bardock and Tora would be Giblet's allies against Syn Shenron, I immediately rolled my eyes. But fortunately, the game, aware of this absurdity, set them aside and had them fight multiple replicas of some androids (which would still be too much for them, but okay). The concept of Giblet not only harnessing the Dark Ki for himself but also being able to maintain a new form was quite interesting and innovative. It's good that it wasn't something he simply acquired and ended the fight; he still needs to get used to the transformation.

I usually praise Legends' ability to develop characters better than in the original series, such as the Trio De Dangers. Having Basil and Lavender forced to ally with Shallot and later Gohan to save Bergamo was a nice touch.

After all this time, I didn't imagine that Shallot would actually achieve Super Saiyan Blue. As mentioned before (I believe here), he and Giblet are descendants of the original Super Saiyan God, so it would be consistent for them to maintain that form or achieve variations of it (like Giblet with Dark Ki). But it finally happened, and it was incredible (as it usually is when Shallot attains a new transformation).

Whis said that Beerus went to fight Zahha already expecting to lose. I thought it was because the villain was very cunning or had a level of magic that could match a Hakaishin, but no, it was just a cheap sealing trick... and Beerus's final line implies that the ultimate battle will indeed be Shallot & Giblet vs. Zahha.

Why you act as if games in this franchise have to give any importance to that? The fact that any mention of events from Toyotaro's manga was ignored in Super Hero clearly shows that they have no intention (yet) of addressing anything from there.
