Planet Kaiohshin is Indestructable?

Post by goodguy777 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 6:53 am

In the manga, since when it was stated that Kaiohshin planet is indestructable?
It's a gag manga! It never was nor was it meant to be scientifically sound or accurate.

The Old Kai simply said that planet won't blow up as easy as Earth. That dos not equal indestructible.

it is destructible like any planet i guess. If King Kai's planet was destructible, than i dont see why that wont be. Plus Goku hurled the spirit bomb tangentially at buu.

Yeah, the Elder Kaioshin says it's very sturdy, and is surprised at how banged up it is after the battle, but nobody ever calls it indestructible.

I'm assuming that the Genki Dama that Son Goku used on the Kaioshin planet would be able to destroy the Earth. But wait! Wouldn't the Genki Dama that Son Goku used on Earth in DragonBallGT had destroyed Earth, since it was "Universal". Or is this another plot-hole?

I'm assuming it has to do with the fact that it's meant to destroy those with an evil "ki."

But didn't Kaio-Sama say that Son Goku shouldn't gather HUGE amounts of energy (Like from the sun) for the Genki Dama. He said that it could destroy the Earth. Or was that idea dropped, just like Son Goku using telepathy and the "Feet Kamehameha"?

They should have called it Dragonball PH(Plot Hole). I liked the character designs, but the repetitive storyline and low ratings must have been the reasons why it was canceled.

Baby Vegeta hits earth with a Super Galicgun with no resistance, in an attempt to kill Goku... and nothing happens. I'd suggest that GT destruction logic is hanging out with the Mad Hatter.
(Which leaves me wondering if any similar incidents ever happened in DBZ... I know the beam struggle between Cell and Gohan was mentioned as threatening the earth. Were there any stray planet-crushing blasts that don't have an excuse between Freeza and Uub, though?)

Well, if you want to know how many enemies or heroes have used techniques that could "Destroy Earth", or if someone said that it could, then here is a list. (In order)

1. Vegeta says that his Gyarikku Hou could have destroyed the Earth(Or so he says).

2. Trunks says that Vegeta's Final Flash could have destroyed the Earth.

3. In their match, Son Goku says that Perfect Cell's Kamehameha could destroy the Earth.

4. In the same match, Perfect Cell says the same thing to Son Goku before he uses the "Instant Kamehameha" on him.

5. All of the Z Senshi say that the Kamehameha that Perfect Cell unleashes on SSJ2 Son Gohan could wipe out the Earth.

6. In the same match Perfect Cell says that the Kamehameha that he planned to destroy Son Gohan with could wipe out an entire Solar System.

7. Kid Buu fires a small blast at the Earth. Son Goku and Vegeta say that it could destroy it, and so Vegeta fires a blast that resembles that Gyarikku Hou at Kid Buu blast. The Gyarikku Hou look-alike hits Kid Buu's blast, they both crash into a mountain and the Earth isn't destroyed. Why is this?

Looking at it in the manga, it looks like Vegeta deflects it off into space. It's not shown hitting anything on Earth, but the collision of the two blasts kicks up a lot of dust, which takes a few panels to settle. This dust kind of looks like an explosion, so maybe that's what you were thinking of? Or is it actually shown hitting something in the anime?

Anyway, don't forget Cell's self-destruct attack, which was intended to destroy Earth.

And don't forget Mecha Freeza's Death Ball that he threw at Trunks, that was intended to destroy the Earth.

Only if you're counting filler attacks, though.

And if we are counting filler attacks, there's Buu's energy ball that non-Super Saiyan Vegetto bounced back.
