People talk about the OG timelines.
Cell
Unseen
Main
Trunks
And in Super we get
U12 guy's timeline
Blacks timeline
Double Trunks timeline (replacing Trunks, in terms of numbers)
People talk about Blacks being split off from the main when Beerus kills Zamasu.
But isn't this backwards? Black happened first and then Trunks goes back and gives Beerus the knowledge to cause a split.
The main timeline was already split from the unseen, which was already split from Cells, but it's funny this is yet another split right?
The (new) main timeline is a split from Blacks original Timeline right?

The Black timeline on your list is a split from the Main timeline. In the Main timeline, Beerus destroys Zamasu, but because Black (aka a identical counterpart of that Zamasu) possessed the Time Ring, he was protected from his counterpart's death, necessitating a timeline split and a new Time Ring.
The Double Trunks timeline is a split from the Erased Future Trunks timeline. It begins right before Black and Zamasu launch their plans to destroy the other Gods. Main Whis will warn the Gods of that timeline about the Duo, thus Black will be destroyed and Zamasu will be sealed by some unknown and powerful technique that the Angels possess (Whis alludes to having something much better than the Mafuba). That way, Black and Zamasu are stopped right before they can begin their plan of genocide and the Future Trunks timeline can exist free from their reign of terror.

Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

But I'm saying black was first that timeline existed already, but the new main timeline must be split from that, not the other way around right?
