Hold on, is that the view of the tournament participants? Yamcha triumphant while Vegetto is lying down coughing blood? If so, that's hilarious.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but the "good side" of Multiverse being so drawn out to the point of being in its 16th year without its story being concluded is that it could follow the evolution of DB over these years and even draw inspiration from some things. Before the hype of DBS, we had monstrosities that Toriyama would never do like that final transformation of Cold, and then we had the final forms of Goku and Vegeta, something simplistic that he would certainly think of. And this guy Yamcha faced? I'm absolutely sure his design is a reference to the Gammas in Super Hero. Hell, we might get some Daima references next.

A contest not involving fighting? In Dragon Ball?

I could see 17 being prideful enough to take the challenge, but will he hold up his end of the deal? Remains to be seen. My money is there being one less old man in this universe at the end of the competition.

You thought that it was "interesting special" but it was me, "pointlessly killing off characters in a stupid way because they weren't explicitly shown to be alive in the single chapter we saw the future in the manga!"
He killed off Chi-Chi too, off screen, for that exact reason.

You know that you're dealing with an especially silly comic when "Master Roshi for some reason decides that beating the incredibly petulant android in a race will be a good idea, expecting him to fulfill his promise and then getting disintegrated by him" is only the second dumbest way that he's died, it's still far behind "Power Level 10 Kid Goku lures Roshi into a cave and easily murders him somehow."

Like, isn't Roshi meant to be like, kinda wise and smart? Wouldn't he have realized that if he'd lost, then he'd have managed to buy a LOT more time for Gohan?
And also probably not get turned to ash for humiliating 17?

Not quite as bad as Gohan screeching how he wants to die constantly, but what can you do, this comic has been steadily getting worse for some time now, though Salagir has always been the sort of guy who thinks the essence of Dragon Ball is pointless violence, edginess and gore (Remember that close-up half-page panel he had of a dead little girl in the Future Gohan kills Dabura somehow special)
A question anybody making a fan project should ask themselves if they want their creation to be taken seriously in any regard by fans of the original is "Would the original creator have potentially written something like this?" and the answer to "Would Akira Toriyama have written Gohan going 'I WANT TO FUCKING DIE' after Baba tells him to eat shit and die (For no reason other than to try to clumsily sew up the 'what about Namek plothole' and failing in the process)" is NO.

Yes, i can say it now: Kamesennin is indeed dead, I don't care about the continuity with the movie.
No submarine ;)

Yes, let's ignore one of best specials for sake of it

There was also Cell killing Hildegarn in straight out Mortal Kombat Fatality gorefest. I've said it once already, but Salagir writing often feel like chuuni teen edgelord fanfic, because brutal over the top stuff or rape (vide Kakarotto telling Pan what he did to girls in his universe) is so mature.

Honestly I think the weirdest part is probably the absolute *abhorrent* mishandling of Gohan's character. I cannot even FATHOM a universe where Gohan would see that his daughter would be fighting Bojack, somebody he KNOWS is stronger than her and then has no qualms about her fighting in a tournament where killing is 100% allowed by the idiotic rules (Which were another sign of early DBM edginess)
And then he acts shocked and dismayed when Pan brutally dies in front of him.
To make matters worse, the other Pan sees this and goes "Oh my god, my vastly more powerful counterpart just died horribly and I don't stand a chance in this tournament" Gohan basically goes "Nah, you'll be fine"
And then when she's up against the evil genocidal rapist version of her own grandfather (a man she loves dearly) Gohan decides to offer up information to the band of space genocidal marauders on how to get stronger so that they agree to make the clearly psychotic and insane Goku behave. (Same evil Goku goes on to sorta weirdly imply rape when he inevitably loses control anyway, yet Gohan still holds up his end of the deal (even though he had LITERALLY no reason to when the match was over, Smarthan in play))
You know, rather than Gohan going, "OK yeah, let's have you withdraw, this tournament isn't respectable at all."
Gohan might just be the dumbest written character in this whole dumb tournament.

Some people in the comments really thought "are those two Elder Kai and Raditz in disguise?!", just because Elder Kai is mentioned in the title of the new chapter. Lol. Oh well, at least the special is over.

Finally!

You know, once this is over (assuming that it can end at all), I'll hope that someone can make a "Kai" version by removing all the unnecessary stuff, I'm sure it would be a much better read.

IIRC, DBM Raditz said he was stronger than the Ginyu Force which puts his PL somewhere over 120,000. Assuming that Raditz is boosted by a similar proportional amount that Gohan had received, he should be over a hundred million or so. However, if DBM goes the route of the ultimate power up being a one-size-fits-all boost, he could be as strong as Ultimate Gohan even. We'll just have to see if this actually goes anywhere.

I just realised the couple at the start resemble a hetero Zarbon and Dodoria relationship :o

I can see Raditz being stronger than the Vegeta of his universe but still under Gohan for sure. Gohan is meant to be potential incarnate. Curious what old Kaioshin's plan is with him

Okay. I don't know where this is going, but it's pretty funny.

I was expecting their name to be "Kakaraditz", but I guess that works too.
