Another discovery: AB Groupe distributed in Greece the Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest movie on DVD in 2006

I saw this today being discussed somewhere and I had no idea there was such a thing! So here is another interesting discovery for those dealing with the various international releases of the Dragon Ball franchise from all around the world!

AB Groupe distributed in Greece the Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest movie on DVD on March 2006 which is 4 years before the known DVD release of the movies by DeAgostini. The movie was released along with a Greek magazine called GamePro.

On the back cover of the DVD on the bottom right you can see the AB Groupe logo while on the left one between the 6 images you can see a link that says WWW.DRAGONBALLZFAN.CO.UK.

The movie is dubbed in English and it has Greek subtitles. No word yet on which English dub is included on the DVD.

Wow, great find. I had no idea this existed either. Neat to know there are other undiscovered Big Green dub home releases out there.

Almost certainly the Big Green dub, it has the same cover as the 2003 UK DVD from AB Groupe and Warner Vision (which also includes animated trading cards):

Why don't you buy it? I used Google Reverse an image and it was the only thing I saw. Try to ask the seller can they ship it to the US

The AB Groupe logo is also on the bottom right corner on the back of the box, so I'd wager you're right.

I don't understand why AB Groupe released the DBZ The World's Strongest DVD horizontally in Greece. It appears to be an orientation of a Japanese Famicom game box, an NTSC and PAL SNES game box, an NTSC and PAL N64 game box, and a Japanese GBA game box. When do companies ever release DVDs in that orientation?

Why does the spine have the BBFC PG logo? I know that's on the UK version, but it's very odd for that to appear on a non-British release.

Probably the same reason the UK Super Hero Collector's Edition Blu-Ray has the German FSK logo on the digipack or lots of Manga UK discs have US and Australian trailers for titles that were released ages ago.

Lack of attention to detail on a repackaged release.

If they'd literally used the UK sleeve, I would understand. But they haven't, and clearly it's a different disc as the UK one doesn't have any subtitles at all.
