Looking at the clothes in the DBO pic, wouldn't that place them as people from Yardrat?

Yeah, and they are Time Travel Operators, and I read somewhere, I think in this thread, that the special has something to do with time travel.

I think that's just speculation based on the fact that the poster shows pre-Buu arc Kuririn and Tenshinhan with Buu arc characters. But the cover for kanzenban volume 34 does the same thing. It's probably either a mistake or them just wanting to show the most well-known or popular versions of each character.

But you do notice similarities in those 2 characters?

I don't think that look that much alike (that is, the Yardratian and the mysterious pair). But we'll see, I guess.

I think they display more similarities to a certain character from Yoshio Sawai's "One on One" DBZ Parody...

We have two pics of the peoples of Yadrat from Dragon Ball Online:

-The one with a light blue skin and two horn on the head.

-And the one with a green skin and one horn.

Now looking at the new characters, we have one with a blue skin and one horn and another one with a red skin and two horns.

The color of the skin and the number of horns are variable inside the population of Yadratians.
Both of the new characters from the special have ears, which is not the case of the peoples of Yadrat from Dragon Ball Online, but it can just be another variable like the horns.

Even if we have not definite proofs of the new characters being Yadratians, it's the closest race they look like.

I hate to say it but Toei's design of the Yardrats (Yardratians?) look a LOT better then these in my opinion.

Man, I can't wait to see it. I'm 100% sure Funimation will buy it from Toei. I'm not going to watch any predictions or any spoilers. Before I watch it, I don't want to know that there's a possibility of a Yadrat being in the special or whatever.

By the way, I looked on youtube and discovered that the Dragonball Online game was not just a shit game, with wannabe characters. It's just another timeline and that Akira Toriyama has been working on it???

Please can someone tell me when this game is going to be released?

I thought their design was unique to be honest. Not that it is a big deal but if that is the average height of a Yardratian on their planet I have trouble believing they would have a suit of protective gear in Goku's size.

Who says they don't get bigger? Or that there aren't rare tall Yardrat people? Or... that they didn't just make him new clothing?

Funimation offers Toei big bag of money and Toei accepts and hands over special. That is how these things always go.

Someone obviously doesn't know how Toei operates. If they don't want you to have something you don't get it. Period. Seriously, if all it took was cash we'd have Sailaor Stars over here by now.

If Funi does buy the rights to this than there is a minuscule chance that they will use this special to even out their double features...but they most likely won't.

Anyway, the two villains in fighting armor will most likely be unrelated to DBO, since DBO is owned by a separate company and Toei would have to get the rights to use those characters...seems like a lot of work for one little special.

Anyway, there'd be nothing bad if they release this on one DVD/Blu Ray, would there? Wouldn't bother me at least.

I wasn't whining about anything, I was just saying that if Funi does buy the rights and they buy them soon enough than they could potentially include this special in their last Blu-Ray Double feature but that it was unlikely.
