If Tenkaichi Budokai exists in real life
Let's imagine if Tenkaichi Budokai (World Martial Arts Tournament) existed in real life.
Who do you think will win?
I'm not a fighting nor wrestling fan; I don't watch UFC, WWE, etc.,
I'm not too familiar with real life fighters.
Here are the rules which applies to EVERY tournaments.
- Killing one's opponent is forbidden.
- The use of weapons is prohibited.
- Hitting one's opponent "below the belt" is prohibited.
- A competitor loses if they...
…cry.
…forfeit the match.
…fall outside the boundaries of the arena.
…are knocked unconscious.
…are unable to stand up after 10 seconds.
For the sake of this topic, I'm going to use 21nd~23rd, where rules were consistent, beside aforementioned.
- No age limit (no kid/junior division); ex. 14 year old female 2nd degree black belt karate vs. 56 year old male 7th degree black belt Taekwondo
- No height and weight limit; no weight division like lightweight or heavyweight
- No time limit; match won't end until some one win
I know type of this tournament would never exist in real life (as far as I'm aware), but I'm just doing it for fun.

Honestly, it sounds like the early UFC events lol UFC started out as a tournament pitting fighters of all sizes and styles against one another. Do you know what the very first UFC fight ever was?

I think this question is as hard to answer today as it was in UFC 1. The winner of UFC 1 was Royce Gracie--a 6'0", average built Brazilian jiu-jitsu master. So, not strike-heavy, not the biggest, not the strongest. And the trend seemingly continued.
I think that the best competitor would have to be big with a good ground game, and decent striking. Like... Brock Lesnar style. Get the opponent down and smother them with size. Brock's disadvantage was that he was so inexperienced. To date, he's only had 9 whole professional fights in his career. I think that a striker wouldn't do well against a ground fighter. At the same time, when it's ground vs. ground, the better stronger will come out on top.
There are just too many variables to answer this effectively--probably why there are rules in the first place. There's always someone who will beat someone else.

If I was an eccentric billionaire this is what I'd do, throw a budokai and scatter 7 Dragonballs for prize money.
I'd change the concrete slabs to be like some kind of plastic or matting tho. A koed person falling on their head is fucked up.

Re: If Tenkaichi Budokai exists in real life
This is a fun post!
That is right, the early UFC fights were the closest we will ever be to T. Budokai and I am talking about year 2007.
I can't think of any name. Maybe The Rock is beloved and John Cena has a good heart, he is ripped, he dresses in orange and has blue wristbands he is the closest to Goku we will ever have, but not even WWE fighters could make in in a tournament. Because WWE and even "La Triple A" ( mexican wrestling) are coregraphy and stunts, they are not fights. It does not count.
Then we have boxing, but it is too technical to be considered, in my opinion.
Current Martial Arts turnaments held by private schools, not the olympics, would be the closest IRL, however since they are sports for academic purposes I would not count them so seriously...
In conclusion, our current society is not prepared for such an event. Maybe that is what the world needs..
Oh and don't even start with the survival tv contest, we all know those are staged.
