Shouldn't need Geekdom to tell you that Toriyama had probably done work on several things we haven't seen yet when he passed.
Re: Dragon Ball Daima trailer, October release date announced
The question is if he finished any. Perhaps he finished some full projects, perhaps some were already almost done and Shueisha/Toei will fill in the blanks, or perhaps they will just be picking up scraps.Zephyr wrote: Wed Sep 11, 2024 12:21 pm Shouldn't need Geekdom to tell you that Toriyama had probably done work on several things we haven't seen yet when he passed.
Re: Dragon Ball Daima trailer, October release date announced
It's kind of weird to think of it like that, since projects in the revival era (sans Jaco) were never even his to "finish" in the first place. But yeah, I suppose maybe there are some projects he helped come up with the premise and outline for but had yet to draw character designs, or perhaps drew character designs but didn't come up with names, etc. We'll never really know, and as a result it'll be easier than ever for them to continue presenting things as being "by Toriyama" in some way for as long as they want, whether it's misleading to describe it like that or not.Yuji wrote: Wed Sep 11, 2024 12:58 pmThe question is if he finished any. Re: Dragon Ball Daima trailer, October release date announced
This might be the ADHD speaking, but...have there been any members of the production committee calling Daima the last Toriyama-supervised/scripted work? I don’t recall anyone doing this and it would definitely make sense for other projects to have been in development.

Welp.
According to Geekdom, SS3 is now confirmed to be Vegeta's new form, but with a small twist. His hair won't be really long like Goku and like his images from games and Heroes, but will be much shorter and resemble more closely to the original SS3 concept.
Interesting, but I don't really see why that would happen... Perhaps it's not fully complete, but it can be held at any point in the hair growth??

We are still listening to... "folks" on the Internet, aren't we? After the shitshow that was the whole "Dragon Ball is coming back" that we all had to endure from 2018 to 2023, I was really hoping we would never have to deal with that again, that people would finally learn not to trust, share, repost, retweet, (re)foward whatever they find on the Internet... But here we are, still making the very same old mistakes.
That said, this post is to confirm to you firsthand that Goku will achieve Super Saiyan 4 in Dragon Ball Daima. It will be slightly different from the Super Saiyan 4 we all know and love! Also according to me Grimlock, there's a big surprise in the last episode that, trust me, you will not want to miss. Also also, Goku finally...!
That also serves for Youtubers, bloggers, digital influencers, TikTok users, Instagram users, WhatsApp conversations, family members (which generally happen to be "uncles") that work for Shueisha, Facebook users... None of them are sources. Please wait for the official thing to be released.VegettoEX wrote: Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:59 amAlso please remember to cite actual sources — Twitter users are not sources.

Most of the leakers/insiders back from those days have been mostly right about Daima so far.Grimlock wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:12 am We are still listening to... "folks" on the Internet, aren't we? If SSJ3 Vegeta doesn't appear I'll owe you 5 Zeni

Crunchyroll will broadcast Dragon Ball Daima in October.
Sorry if the news is in Spanish, I could not access the article in English.

The English Crunchyroll Announcement
Aah, this isn’t too surprising. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing if the series does any double episode broadcasts at any point. Back when Pokemon amd NARUTO did those it always felt pretty special.

Just watched the GT Trailer of Sparking Zero and couldn't help but think that the Daima english dub will be unbearable
Colleen clinkenbeard's Kid Goku is just awful compared to Stephanie Nadolny's. Nails on a chalkboard tier.
The voice alone could tank Daima's reception in the west.

They've been purposefully calling the characters "mini" instead of kid, so maybe they'll keep Schemmel and he'll do a higher pitched voice. The Monkey King wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 11:37 am Just watched the GT Trailer of Sparking Zero and couldn't help but think that the Daima english dub will be unbearable

I wonder who will have the license in Europe, since it's not on Crunchyroll's list of territories.
I can assume Selecta Vision licensed it for Spain and AB for France.

I hope this'll not be a repeat of what Crunchyroll did with the English subs of their simulcast of DB Super from 2015.

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Irrelevant. This isn't as much as being about right or wrong, this is about knowing better. Even if it turns out to be true, we have nothing but rumors about the content of the series. And I don't see any point or reason in giving any ounce of attention to rumors, let alone spreading them using the word "confirmed" left and right. If it's not in the promotional material or trailers, then there's absolutely nothing confirmed. The Monkey King wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 7:31 amMost of the leakers/insiders back from those days have been mostly right about Daima so far.

Only official stuff are sources. Youtubers are not sources, they simply are not. Period.

Crunchyroll haven't announced its streaming release here but they will have the license for Britain and Ireland as they used to be Manga UK here. I would suspect Germany too as KAZÉ was absorbed into Crunchyroll.M16U3L2015 wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 11:50 am I wonder who will have the license in Europe, since it's not on Crunchyroll's list of territories.

Sadly for Spain and France it will probably be Crunchyroll too because Super Hero was distributed to theatres in the former and Crunchyroll streams the entire series in the latter, so they will likely have Daima too.
I hate Crunchyroll's monopoly and refuse to pay for their streaming service in light of that. They're making too much money and gaining too much of a stranglehold on the anime industry.
Unfortunately I could see the English subs being dubtitles. This is modern day TOEI we're talking about. It's just one of those things we'll need to accept.TechExpert2021 wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 12:16 pm I hope this'll not be a repeat of what Crunchyroll did with the English subs of their simulcast of DB Super from 2015.
