Has anyone ever made a fan animation of Launch's original role in the Buu Saga Spirit Bomb Scene?

I've always preferred the original idea of Launch in that scene, where iirc she was supposed to be the one holding those people up, and that's why the dialogue 17 says fits Launch so much more.

While doing a casual edit of some stuff, I wondered if that was something anybody had ever made, a small fan animation and perhaps fandub of Launch in that scene. Anybody aware of anything like that? Thanks either way.

Honestly, I don't think most people would be bothered because, while the dialogue would have fit her way more than 17 and she did deserve a speaking role in the scene, she still got to appear in the anime version. So by making said animation you would just be removing 17 instead of having the two of them.

Where did you find out about this? I've never heard anything about Launch holding those guys up. The scene in the manga doesn't even include her, it only includes 17.

There's a column in Daizenshuu 7 where Toriyama reveals this:

Where did Lunch-san go?
Lunch went off chasing after Tenshinhan. Tenshinhan would also go from place to place while training with Chiaotzu, so they’d never meet up. But surely they’ve managed to miraculously cross paths. When No. 17 appeared near the end of the series, he was actually Lunch in the draft.

Well, I haven't made a fan animation per se, but I did make a quick edit of the manga, replacing #17's head with Lunch's, while discussing this moment in Dragon Ball Dissection. Very interesting tidbit, thank you! I wonder why Toriyama decided to swap 17 in

17 was a more relevant character to most readers at the time, and would otherwise not have appeared in that scene. It also cleared up any potential confusion about whether or not he had actually been revived at the end of the Cell arc.

It's not a fan animation, but Fenyon did his own take redrawing the panel to feature Launch rather than #17.
