Wow, I must say, that Gohan Black story was better than the actual one in Super, from concept to execution. How "adult" Gohan appears only at the end of that arc is mindboggling to me, given his future counterpart's significance to Trunks.I k
Lol, I love how that story ends
I have no doubt that this What-If would have been more successful than the actual Canon. People just love their happy ending where the bad guy is defeated.
I hope Trunks and Mai know how to build houses because they're pretty much the only ones left on that planet.
At his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

I wish they can allow scouters and halos for other characters. Even adding cool stuff like a majin symbol on characters would be fun for people who want to do their own What if Goku became Majin Goku or recreate Budokai 2's story mode.
It is strange that so many characters who have had halos in the anime or show can't even use it like Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Cell, etc. Scouters would also be useful to since they give so many names like "Chaozu (Captain Ginyu)" in custom mode.
I hope we can get a free update with these kind of things and the other stuff that is locked to story mode like present Zamasu, the undamaged ToP stage, U10's Kaioshin Realm, and the exclusive characters/forms.
I would love if they would bring back the customize mode of ultimate butouden, which had all kinds of things like hats, angel wings, mustaches, beards, halo's etc. which could be applied to all characters.

I feel the same bout more of the what ifs. I love how they used Chiaotzu in the alternate Saiyan saga. He was actually very useful in it, something that he wasn't in in the entirety of Z. (with perhaps the Ginyu fight on Kai's planet as an exception but even there they didn't tap into his special telekenisis powers.)
I also feel that Piccolo training Gohan in the RoSaT would fit better in the story than Goku.

I was surprised to find out that Kaioken doesn't boost any stat at all, not even kamehameha. However, SSB's KK boosts everything.

Is there a fast way to beat ape Vegeta? I kinda lost the will to play further because it felt impossible (I am not very good at the game, and I can only play every second week - I have probably forgotten most controls already as I haven't played in about 10 days).

One of the things that helped me was goading him into beam struggles a lot. Try to keep your distance as much as you can, keep your energy high, and then be ready to fire that Kamehameha whenever he fires his mouth beam (I forget it's name). Win the clash and you'll get some pretty good damage on him, as well as a free moment to try and get ready for more.

I was always at the top of the map, keeping my distance and energy fully loaded and spammed the hell out of ultimates and ki blasts. I've heard that beam struggles are helpful.

Great Ape Vegeta is a good early skill check; doubly so for players overly reliant on rushing in and mashing square.
Keep your distance, learn when to block or side dash to avoid/mitigate damage, make use of the rock columns as shields when needed, maintain your ki and fire off Kamehamehas. He might be huge, but that also makes him a huge sitting duck. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall" could not be a truer expression for all the giants in this game, at least when it comes to the offline CPU.
This guy is nothing compared to some of the later secondary objectives, a few of which might be legitimately overtuned.

Did anybody manage to get the V-Jump exclusive DLC code with the V shaped aura? I just redeemed it and planning on buying a Japanese physical copy of the game next week.
The world is your's.

^ You mean in the ones announced?
That's unlikely since it's all meant to be centered around Super Hero and Daima for the first season pass.
No other thing will likely come except that, since all resources to add characters are probably centered around the 22 characters that belong to these specific series as an absolute priority.
I would gladly welcome extra characters outside of those announced pack, but I doubt they'll do that, like "you paid for 3 DLC packs with your Ultimate Edition but in the meantime, you can still pay extra for those DLC packs about other things that were not included in the season pass".

The missions of defeating characters quickly in story mode are bullshit.
I have no idea if I'm doing fast enough in the middle of the battle. I'm getting trouble with most of them.
You can also see how the most important thing was having a big cast of characters.
Story mode misses some battles for no reason, when said characters are in the game.
Whenever we get a sequel I can only imagine it's gonna be easier for them, because they can reuse a lot with Unreal Engine.
Usually the first game is the hardest to make, because you are doing everything from scratch. In sequels most of the time you can reuse assets and already have a vision of where you want to go and what you want to improve.
And of course, the pressure to make a better game than the last one is always there.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Still kind of stupid that the DLC is stuff to promote the new cartoon instead of characters that have been around decades. The last thing we needed was yet another version of Goku & Vegeta honestly.

Different MODs of characters like Barock ss4, Black Janemba, Xeno Gogeta etc. are coming out.
They are fantastic!
Let's hope they put these characters in the next DLC.

This is the first game I think is much more enjoyable playing on PC. Fans are doing so many cool mods than Bandai won't be able to keep up.

Did fans made mods for Sparking! ZERO that replace Funimation dub names and dub-only dialogue lines with the correct names and accurately translated dialogue lines that match the Japanese dialogue?

The big roster is mostly great and like other posters mentioned, one of the things that seemed to have gotten the most development time. Usually, a DB roster gets 'reset' when moving to a new generation consoles, such as with Burst Limit.
This makes me wonder how much characters they could add in a sequel. Sure, there are some missing GT and DB characters, but most of the major players are represented. I would think they add more stages and flesh out the story mode but for most players, the huge roster is the biggest draw.

Yeah, but right now they are replacing existing characters and that sucks. For better mods we must wait a little bit longer. But I'm sure mods are going to blew our minds with their awesomness, just like what XV2 modders did.

That would require: 1. Fans to care enough to actually write an alternate subtitle file, 2. Fans that can speak Japanese listen to the Japanese audio & re-translate everything as best they can, & 3. Put it out as a mod. I don't think
any DB game has had that happen, tbh. At least that weren't translating ROMs of the games into English that were just in Japanese.
