Is there anything you've wanted from new DB that you have or haven't gotten? (DAIMA SPOILERS)

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

From a localization standpoint, I guess that Stephanie Nadolny is back is kinda cool. I've been exclusively following the Japanese version for awhile now so it doesn't really affect me, but to all the dub fans that are genuinely excited by her return I'm happy for them. I've got friends and family who have expressed their excitement to me and it feels good seeing them so happy about it.
We need a Steve Simmons' re-translation of the manga.

I'd take Clinkenbeard over Nadolny anyday, and the trailer didn't inspire confidence, but I'm willing to keep an open mind that when I hear more of the dub we'll hear Nadolny's improvement. Guess we'll see on Friday when the dub launches on Crunchyroll.

The main thing I wanted from modern DB was "how would Toriyama have steered the story after Z's ending?"

Super and Daima are kinda that, in the sense that they're him providing new stories post-Boo.

But they're also not that, because the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai with Oob is the actual ending, and we never got to see him steer stories set after that. Neko Majin Z: Chapter 5 remains the closest thing to that, and it's not exactly a full continuation of DB.

While it's not 100% his vision, and it's not actually a proper story at all, I think DB Online probably remains the (second) closest thing to that. It takes itself seriously, at least, as a real post-Oob world.

You're right that it's a post-Oob world with Toriyama involvement, and its novelty isn't lost on me, but I was more after post-Oob stories, adventures, battles, etc. with Toriyama involvement.

Which yeah we know about some battles in DBO's background lore, but that entire thing has soured for me over the years as it became more clear that all those events are ultimately there to help explain the video game mechanics of an MMORPG set in DB's world (ie: the origins of the playable races and classes) rather than to be any sort of organic answer to the question of "what if Toriyama picked DB right back up after Chapter 519?"

Probably more, I'd add these ones for now:
- showing Planet Metamor and/or Metamorans
- Yamoshi flashback in manga/anime form
- Vegeta visiting Planet Sadala (bonus: and the king looking like Nappa :D )
- an arc involving Zalama or even Angel Realm (if that's actually a thing)
- Frieza family backstory (and Cooler would be nice)
- Early days of the Ginyu Force (also with Bonyu)
- a new series of young Roshi, or Kami.. showing how Earth was from Age 430-470
