Oh come on, France and Norway, my native countries, have both very poor Dragonball products. So stop your whining.Raki wrote:Is this even fair? Every other nation seems to be getting better quality Dragonball products than us.
Question about Italian Dvd
When is Funi going to realize that so many other countries are making their releases look like the crap that they are?
Anyway, these Italian DVDs look totally awesome, DBZ the way it was meant to be seen!
The only thing that I found a little strange was the fact that they had a picture of Goku in normal form and in SSj and SSj3 form on the menu even though they are very far from getting to those episodes.
When I first saw this screenshot I had to look twice because I thought I had jumped onto a season six discussion! http://img144.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... an3bf8.png

Actually only Spain and (now) Italy have good DB DVD releases (except Japan of course).
You forgot Greece!Timo wrote:Yep. I agree. And at this rate of getting a little bit better each time they should be forced to release a nearly perfect release by 2028!Tanooki Kuribo wrote:My suspicion has always been that FUNimation does not want to put its full effort into DBZ just so that it can always re-release the same crap again just a tiny bit better then before.
That is so my new favorite phrase!Tanooki Kuribo wrote:Its what I like to call "The Malibu Stacy Has A New Hat Theroy" of thinking, or just "MS-Hat Theroy".

DBZ never cutted in Italy !coola wrote:See Funimation? This is real, completely uncut DBZ,great quality, subbed previews, correct OP/ED.Damn you!
Really ?Not that I particularly like the Italian dub
Never hear the Goku's voice ?
It's perfect for Goku in my opinion, good imitation of Masako Nozawa for a man !
I agree with you Stan. The Italian dub is great. In my opinion, it's the best European dub and I believe it's also the first (so it's not based on the French dub, hooray!!!).
Furthermore, it's one of the 3.5 (Italian, Latino, Hebrew and partly the Ocean dub) DBZ dubs worldwide, which I can watch without a fit of rage. ^^
R.I.P. Paolo Torrisi.

What? Italiens did not buy video material from AB? -Danish dub isn't based on french scripts either.Timo wrote:I agree with you Stan. The Italian dub is great. In my opinion, it's the best European dub and I believe it's also the first (so it's not based on the French dub, hooray!!!).

I have to say, the Italian dub is my favorite out of all of the foreign dubs I have heard. It is pretty similar to the Japanese dub and has a pretty similar style to it. This video compares the two, the audio syncing is pretty bad but it's a nice comparison: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAWlo2s0iHw

Gogeta sounds like a stone cold badass in the Italian version, for sure. I kinda liked the voices. I could see myself watching that version, if I knew the language.SSj_Rambo wrote:I have to say, the Italian dub is my favorite out of all of the foreign dubs I have heard. Here's the Italian dub for the Dragonball opening. Kind of an interesting theme, but it sounds a little corny for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0zXkIXb ... re=related
Here's the Italian dub for the Dragonball GT opening. It sure is better than Funi's rap, but I still say that Dan Dan is the best GT opening by far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5FOohpQjrA

Apart Piccolo's mistaked name, it's changed in to Junior because Piccolo in Italian language take the mean of "small" !
I like the name "Junior" for Piccolo, after all ...

I love the Gogeta's italian voice !
Fat Gogeta Says: "We are going to send you in the hell! Prepare it, monster!"
I don't know what says the japanese line, who can translate it ?
I prefer the italian opening for the first Dragon Ball !Here's the Italian dub for the Dragonball opening. Kind of an interesting theme, but it sounds a little corny for me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0zXkIXb ... re=related

For the GT, i prefer the Japanese's one (But i don't like their lyrics) !
Italy, usually, don't translates japanese's opening, or they make a new opening for the toon, or they uses the original japanese opening ...

Re: Question about Italian Dvd
First volume costs: €3.99
The rest: €8.99 (48 volumes)
Around €435 in total, ouch.. DeAgostini is not cheap, never was now that I think of it.
