Android arc timeframe question.

In the android arc the following events happen.

May 12th:
Everyone is on the plane, Kuririn calls Bulma to update her.
The conversation takes longer because she talks about the time machine they discovered.
Trunks and Gohan fly there, on the way Gohan asks about the future, Trunks then gets on to saying Gero must have had a shut down remote and that gives him hope.
They spend more time flying to the time machine site faff around there, go back to roshis island to update everyone and or guard Son.
They then sense Cell and Kamiccolo and fly there.
They then wait for Vegeta and Tenshinhan to arrive.
Talk for a bit.
Fly to the lab, find the plans.
Trunks then gives them to Kuririn, who is slower than him, to pass on to Bulma and goes to train with Vegeta only because Vegeta mentions surpassing Super Saiyan at Gingertown.

The androids land on roshis island may 16th, a day after goku got up and left.
Bulma calls first, starts to deliver it by plane and Kuririn after a short delay realises he can fly faster and goes to meet her half way.
Piccolo fights 17 and Kuririn doesn't meet Bulma till after Cell is Semi perfect and Goku has evacuted everyone on the battlefield.
They stop and talk for a bit.
How long Cell spends looking for 18 isn't quite quantified.
Kuririn takes quite a long time to arrive but we don't know if they are moving south/east away from Kuririn and Bulma and Roshis island, or in the path of them.
Kuririn probably wants to avoid Cell and is looking for an android he can't sense, so we can assume regardless of direction he could get back to the island sooner if he was going there.

It seems to be the case that, although it's kind of an anti feat when you scale from a day crossing on million kilometer snake way, that in this arc flight time is much longer than fighting time. Vegeta takes a little while to get from the lookout to cell but turns super saiyan to go 50x faster then gets there quickly.

TL:DR My question is, in the unseen timeline, if Trunks went from the plane to Geros lab, took the blueprints to Bulma himself instead of doing all that other stuff, and delivered them to Roshis island himself, would he beat the androids there do you think? Or at least before they killed Kuririn/Yamcha or Roshi/Chichi?

My gut feeling is yes, but I wanted some consensus.
