Either way, what do you guys is an effective way of reaching out to Piece of magic entertainment? The Norwegian translator for the Dragon Ball Super manga would like to help out making better subs for the Battle of Gods. I did send them an e-mail a few days ago but it's been radio silence. I was thinking about MAYBE calling them or contacting either of these people: https://pieceofmagic.com/#about-us

Sorry, I started writing that post on my phone but then realized I wasn't able to copy the text from Facebook, so I used my laptop to edit the message.

Anyway, for those who missed it, this is what the director of the Polish Super and Kai dubs said:

If you've emailed and haven't heard back for a few days I guess calling would be the next best thing, just be wary of the cost of international phone calls.

Subbed and dubbed in Italian.
Great to see more dubbed screenings bring announced, always great for options to be available.

Hopefully Austria gets the German dub too, as there are probably a lot of Dragon Ball fans there that grew up with the original anime series in German on ORF1.

I've noticed a lot of territories are reusing the Fathom Events trailer from the US re-release of this movie, which is odd as Piece of Magic Entertainment has already made their own trailer. Granted it still uses Funimation dub clips but it at least gives the correct date this movie is being re-released in some of these territories, the Fathom Events trailer promotes dates from 2023.

Don't trust this site since they don't document everything. For example, they have only 23 countries for DBS: Super Hero while I have found at least 146. Same goes for IMDb.

Fair enough, I was putting the number of territories Battle of Gods originally opened in at 20+ because 20 are listed on BoxOfficeMojo, but of course they don't include France so there could very well be other countries where it was screened in 2013/2014.

It will be interesting when all is said and done to see how many countries get Battle of Gods this time, especially if any distributors get to put on screenings outside of Europe.

Same date as France and Belgium, so hopefully all three will get French dubbed screenings.

According to the cinema showing battle of Gods in Norway it'll be showed with English subtitles.

On the Irish Odeon Cinemas website this movie is categorised under "Subtitled Foreign Language", so I'm going to assume it will be the Japanese version with Funimation's subtitles.

Broly and Super Hero were both shown here with an Japanese with English subs option, so I see no reason it wouldn't be the same here.

I have my Blu-Ray, which includes the dub so its not like I won't be able to rewatch it whenever I like anyway.

Remember Norway doesn't has English as an official language. I don't think you can compare Ireland to Norway.Super Super hero had a viewing with Norwegian subtitles translated from English and English subtitles.

Fair enough, and of course English is most Irish people's first language. I was more thinking that if Piece of Magic were willing to risk having sub-only screenings in Ireland then surely they would have the confidence to put on sub-only screenings elsewhere.

Remember the Funimation dubs of Dragon Ball Z, Kai and Super aired here so there is a greater chance of alienating English dub fans here.

That's great, hopefully it will be a wide enough release so that German and Italian-speaking parts of Switzerland get it too.

It could happen as Omniplex are bringing the movie to even more towns across Ireland, so now no matter what part of the country you live in there will be a screening relatively close.

Can confirm the number of territories now stands at 26.

For those curious the remaining European countries I'm aware of that haven't got a screening are:
  • Russia (part-European)
  • Spain
  • Ukraine
  • Romania
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Belarus
  • Bulgaria
  • Moldova
  • Albania
  • Slovenia
  • Montenegro
  • Liechtenstein
  • Andorra
  • Malta
  • San Marino
  • Monaco
  • Holy See
Spain, Greece and Hungary are probably the most likely to come next. The rest are probably long shots, although I've been surprised with some of the Nordic, Balkan and former Yugoslavian territories that have been announced, so who knows.

I thought this was only going to be a one-off in select European territories, but it's been a pleasant surprise that most of the continent will be getting some screenings.
