Actually, now that I think about it, yeah. But I was mostly inspired by a Ben 10 episode I watched when I was a kid.
I remember that episode too. I think that idea would have been better than introducing SS4 at the end out of nowhere.

Less ship problems and no Hybis. Also have Goku’s tail griw back since he’s a kid.

I'm not even mad about the kid shit anymore.

I would just fix the mountain of contradictions the show introduced.

I'd give more spotlight to Degesu. He had the coolest design but he literally did not do anything interesting.

Honestly: waste of a cool design.

Degesu's lack of screentime and plot irrelevance is the only thing I disliked about Daima.
At his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

Make it clearer goku sensed 4 was out there, trained for it but was never able to use it without nevahs magic.
Have shin and kibito merge again.

That's it.

Just simply streamline it to be the standard 12/13 episodes long anime. No much further change than that.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

This would have made its various storytelling slipups less irksome and improved the pacing for sure.

I think that it would have worked far better as a film. The antagonist characters don't have enough meat on the bone to support more than five episodes as-is. Like I said, though, if the production crew had just come up with more character arcs and development they could have actually properly filled the twenty episodes they had to work with.

The only thing that I would fix would be the Gendarmerie Force, they were too weak. They didn't give the Z fighters any trouble. Other than that I wouldn't change anything else.

I would have changed almost nothing. Even if I did the backseat writing thing and attempted to condense stuff, I'd still be left with around 18 episodes of material.

They did such a good job developing the Demon Realm that when Goku performs his big piercing Kamehameha at the end, there's a stark realization for those who hadn't caught on that Gomah wasn't actually the main antagonist; it was the realm itself, and the system it embodied. Gomah was just its representative.

I'm watching the dub currently (this is my third time rewatching Daima) and have come to enjoy some of these episodes even more than initially. That's the mark of a great show.

I would just trim down a couple of situations that don't seem to do much for the story.

- Hybys gets more scenes, specially with Vegeta, easily the best Daima character. The Jaco of Daima. Instead of pew-pew with random mooks, more Hybys-Vegeta banter. That would be the only addition.
- Degesu is fired. Arinsu takes his spot and treason becomes more obvious. The good thing is we get rid of that awful ploy of his to kidnap Dende instead of getting the Eye that some girl went to get for him. I feel Arinsu could bring out Gomah's neurotic side better than Degesu.
- The fight on the Main Realm doesn't take one entire episode, it's a brief quarrell with Piccolo, Shin and Glorio stepping up so the big hitters don't have to exert their chibi bodies.
- The Gendarmerie Forces, fired. The laughs weren't that good.
- No Chibi SS4, no chibi SS3 Vegeta either. Gomah beats them up too quickly for them to use those forms, the story leans towards the fusion bugs. Neva only wakes up SS3 Goku.
- More about Glorio and Arinsu, so that him not wishing what she wanted is less obvious. I never had a problem with how his relationship with the crew was but why was he such a Arinsulieber, which was "explained" after he screwed her over. By then, I didn't care anymore.
- SS3 Vegeta is introduced after the wish, as an adult, and loses as we saw. This is when the audience could think the fusion bugs are taking the stage, but SS4 shows up.
- I prefer "fixing" Daima without making it into a whole new thing, so while I'm not a fun of Giant Gomah and would've preferred to see a more Janemba-type of final boss, I'll stick to Giant Gomah.

Oh, and give back Vegeta his Buu arc clothes, I hate the armor so much.
Something I wanted to see but I wouldn't include in the Fix is visiting the Glind planet.

- takes place after End of Z,
- ignores completely the cluster fuck that Super is,
- no chibi versions,
- less boring filler,
- the main characters are Goku and Oob (he fits perfectly with the whole "demon realm" concept),
- Vegeta's Super Saiyan 3 hair is long as it should be and he's not wearing that silly armor (he has either his EoZ attire or his Buu Arc outfit),
- Super Saiyan 4 looks almost the same as the one in Daima but without that ridiculous big forearms,
- transforming into Super Saiyan 4 requires a tail in base form and the whole process of transformation is exactly the same as in GT (Oozaru, etc),
- Goku saves the day and dies at the end to mark the definitive ending of Dragon Ball story.
"If it means having to live under your control, I'd rather be dead!" - Trunks to Baby
English is not my first language, if I've made a mistake, please, feel free to correct me. It will help, thanks.

I don't know if my ideas are good enough to "fix" Daima, but here are things I would've done different. For anyone who reads: Get ready. I thought of a long nearly complete plot summary:

- Change the designs a little to have them look more like the actual children designs rather than shrunken adults. Vegeta and Piccolo especially would be looking different.

- No birthday party at Capsule Corp. Everyone's doing their own thing when they get changed to kids. Supreme Kai only teleports to Earth after the change.

- Make them weaker along with making them children. Daima kind of did this, but I mean do it for real. Since their minds are still their adult selves, they also have all of their adult abilities. Make Goku as weak as chapter 1 or weaker (we'll just go with chapter 1 for simplicity). Chapter 1 Goku's power level was supposedly 10, so if he went Super Saiyan 3, he'd be as strong as Saiyan saga Goku mid-training with King Kai. Their strength would be Supreme Kai (I guess) > Vegeta > Piccolo > Base Goku. Of course, Piccolo becomes the weakest once Goku turns Super Saiyan.

- Goku gets his power pole like in the show.

- No Team A or Team B split up. They all go together from the beginning. I would make the group same as in the show except no Glorio and no Bulma. A lot of people liked that moment between her and Vegeta during the fight with Gomah, so maybe keep her around just for that, I guess. But if she went, she'd pretty much just be along for the ride and doesn't get mentioned any more in this post.

- Have kid Gohan meet kid Goku. Gohan wouldn't go with them to the Demon realm, but we can still see him some along with the others at the beginning.

- Glorio shows up on Earth to actually kill them as per Arinsu's orders after eavesdropping on Gomah and Degesu. After nearly the gang gets beaten and about to be killed by him, a shot from a laser blast goes through Glorio's head from behind and it turns out to be Panzy (I'd change her name). She explains she snuck onto his ship after overhearing him talking to Arinsu on his radio thing and was afraid of what would happen to the Demon realm or something. No collar on Panzy.

- They take Glorio's ship and use Warp-sama to go to the Third Demon World like in the show. The difference is I'd make it where everyone except Panzy has to hide because she tells them that she they're most likely barred from entering. Warp-sama then says he will scan the ship for any additional smuggling of passengers and Supreme Kai teleports everyone outside of the ship and behind Warp-sama. After getting approval, they teleport back into the ship.

- I would have the first half of the series contrast with the second half. There's not as much fighting in the first half, but still a lot of exploring and stuff happening similar to early stuff on Namek. They meet Hybis at some point too. They learn of the sad state that the Demon Realm is in and learn that it's because of Gomah. They explore the Third Demon World undercover while on their way to the Tamagami until they get spotted by the Gendarmerie. Base Goku is too weak to fight them, so he has to turn Super Saiyan. Everyone else can handle them.

- The Gendarmerie are a similar archetype to Frieza's henchmen, Stormtroopers, etc. They enforce the oppressiveness of Gomah's rule.

- After a scuffle with the Gendarmerie, they lose their ship (only time it happens lol) and are forced to travel on foot, but they zip around faster than they did in the show and discreetly kind of like what they did on Namek or what Dr. Gero did in the Android saga. Gomah freaks out wondering how they got into the Demon Realm then orders the Gendarmerie to be on the look out for them and also to guard the Tamagami; assuming correctly that they're after the dragon balls and to save Dende.

- While this is happening, Arinsu meets with Marba much like in the show, but does so in response to Glorio getting killed and also from learning that the Dragon Team is in the Demon Realm and are after the dragon balls. She is hesitant to do it after how dangerous Buu turned out to be.

- Kuu and Duu beat the Third and Second Tamagamis rather quickly, while Supreme Kai barely manages to beat the First after Goku and Vegeta failed. Panzy tells them the third one is weakest and the first one is the strongest. All of them are weaker than the other two Tamagamis. They are unsure of how to get the next 2 dragon balls, but decide to try any way; unaware they've already been taken.

- Kuu and Duu killed a lot of Gendarmerie to get the dragon balls which makes Gomah aware that Arinsu is also after the dragon balls and makes him want to find the Evil Third Eye as his last hope and sends Degesu out to look for it. No omniscient TV here to find it for them. He has to go on a little adventure to look for it.

- Arinsu orders Kuu and Duu to wait for the Dragon Team in the Second Demon World.

- Dragon Team makes it to the Second Demon World via Supreme Kai's teleportation through the shield. Since Kuu and Duu wiped out a ton of Gendarmerie while getting the dragon balls, they're not after the Dragon Team as much any more and notice the odd lack of Gendarmerie compared to the Third Demon World. They make it to the Tamagami to find the dragon ball is already gone. Kuu and Duu come out of hiding to take their dragon ball. Being much more powerful than any of the Dragon Team, they don't put up much of a fight. Kuu and Duu beat them without much effort and leave with all 3 dragon balls; wanting to quickly get back to Arinsu as per her orders.

- Degesu, hopeless to find the Evil Third Eye with no leads, decides to use the dragon balls to get it instead. He meets Kuu and Duu in the Second Demon World before they're about to leave for the Third and uses chocolate to distract them before getting away with all 3 himself.

- Supreme Kai senses that Degesu is near in the Second Demon World and he and the Dragon Team teleports to him. Seeing that he has the dragon balls, they gang up on him and take them from him. After they leave with the dragon balls, Degesu realizes that the Evil Third Eye was in Hybis's belt.

- After getting all 3 dragon balls, the Dragon Team decides to quickly use them. They try and fail. Piccolo then tries speaking Namekian and it still fails. They decide to go to the original Namek in the Demon Realm to see if they can learn how to use them. Supreme Kai, Vegeta, Goku and Piccolo go to Namek while Panzy and Hybis stay behind; claiming that they didn't want to slow them down on their way and will wait for them. They don't teleport since they're not exactly sure where it's at.

- Goku and co make it to Namek. The original Namek in the Demon Realm looks similar but different from the one they know. It is a lush paradise with a lot of wildlife, but no Namekians. Neva shows up and explains that to use the dragon balls, you need to speak an ancient dialect of Namekian that only he knows now. He then explains that he only helped Gomah in the beginning to lure them to the Demon Realm in hopes on saving it as it as been in a terrible state for far too long. He summons the dragon (has similar but different design to Porunga) and wishes for them to be adults. Neva asks if he can go with them to save Dende.

- While this is happening, Degesu finds and confronts Panzy and Hybis, takes the Eye and leaves for the Third Demon World.

- Once adults, Goku and co make it back to Panzy and Hybis who tell them that Degesu showed up and took an eye from Hybis's belt. Neva freaks out realizing that it's the Evil Third Eye while Supreme Kai is frustrated that he didn't recognize it this whole time.

- Kuu and Duu show up to fight them, but are confused seeing them as adults and without dragon balls. Arinsu is made aware telepathically, gets angry, then orders Kuu and Duu to kill them. They fight briefly before Goku stops and says that they might be able to use their help fighting Gomah. Arinsu angrily disagrees while Neva agrees. Kuu and Duu end up agreeing and convince Arinsu that Gomah may be the bigger threat.

- Degesu arrives at the Third Demon World and gives Gomah the Eye and he transforms similar as in the show. I would change his outfit some so he doesn't look like Jiren so much and also have him keep the cape and change his face a little with his new transformation so he doesn't look so goofy. Degesu watches and is frightened of Gomah's transformation.

- The Dragon Team + Kuu and Duu make it to the Third Demon World and meets up with a pouty and reluctant Arinsu. She says this doesn't change what happened to Glorio and yells at them for using the dragon balls. Kuu tries to cheer her up to no avail. The group then splits up so Goku, Vegeta, Kuu and Duu go to confront Gomah with Arinsu watching from the side while everyone else goes to save Dende.

- Gomah tells Degesu to stay behind and watch Dende. As he goes to check on Dende, he sees his cradle is empty and realizes that he was able to sneak away since he's no longer a baby and feels ashamed that he overlooked that.

- Gomah meets Goku and co halfway. Goku and Vegeta do rock paper scissors for who will go first until Gomah interrupts them mid-game; so the 4 of them gang up on him instead. Unlike in the show, there should be some character interaction between Gomah and everyone he's fighting. Some dialogue exchange before and during the fight would be nice. I liked how the Eye kept powering Gomah up every time it looked like he might be beaten, so keep that. I'd change it to where with each power up he gets, the more grotesque and demonic he looks. I liked Duu imitating Super Saiyan 3, so keep that as well and also the kamehameha near the end of the fight in the show; main difference there is that it also destroys the shields between each of the 3 worlds.

- While the first part of the fight is happening, rest of the group are confronted by Degesu after they make it to Gomah's castle. He tells them that Dende isn't here, that they're wasting their time trying to find him and that he knows a way to kill them; especially since the strongest fighters aren't with them. He then gets a glowing grenade-looking thing and chunks it hard at them. Piccolo jumps in front of them, fires a blast at it and gets hit by a weak shockwave from the explosion. At first it seems like nothing, then Degesu explains that it's a magic grenade that electrocutes you if you try to use your ki and that the electrocution is proportional to the strength of the ki you try to use. Piccolo attempts to attack again only to be electrocuted rendering him helpless. Supreme Kai steps up claiming that he can still fight and as he is about to attack, also gets electrocuted. Degesu laughs and starts beating up Piccolo and Supreme Kai while they're so helpless. Panzy and Hybis freak out and Hybis actually runs away out of fear. Neva also tries to do something but gets electrocuted. One shock nearly kills him and he's on the ground and breathing hard. Panzy continues to freak out; unsure of what to do. She then remembers her laser blaster and shoots Degesu through the chest with it while he's distracted beating the 2 of them up; he falls to the ground and now Panzy is the only one who isn't severely injured or nearly dead. She starts crying and is sorry that she can't save anyone. Dende is then seen flying towards them and carrying Hybis; informing them that Hybis told him what happened after they happened to run into each other. He heals Piccolo and as he's about to heal Supreme Kai, Degesu grabs Panzy, then shoots and kills Dende with her blaster. Piccolo then attacks Degesu, throws him up in the air and vaporizes him with a blast. Infuriated at Dende's death, Supreme Kai's and Neva's fatal states, he also realizes that Earth's dragon balls are gone. Dende's healing also got rid of the effects of the grenade. Neva then asks Piccolo for a favor and offers to do something very similar to what Nail did back on Namek. With his last breaths, he merges with Piccolo; giving him all of his abilities and knowledge of dragon balls, Namekians and the Demon Realm. He now has the ability to heal and heals Supreme Kai; also curing him of the grenade's effects. They then teleport back to the others.

- The first part of the fight goes very similar to in the show as mentioned earlier with everyone ganging up on Gomah. As Gomah eventually overpowers everyone and starts pummeling them, they're left trying to come up with another plan or possibly retreat. At this point, Gomah has been powered up with the Eye several times and is much more grotesque and demonic-looking than he looks in the show. I originally preferred no new transformations for the main characters, but since there was so much hype around Super Saiyan 4 and transformations in general, I decided maybe Goku should have another form here, but not Super Saiyan 4. It's a great design, but I wanted to see something new. So I came up with the idea of the Sacred Third Eye; the counterpart to the Evil Third Eye. It's something that only the pure of heart can use and has never actually been used before. After Piccolo merges with Neva, he gains this knowledge and suggests that Goku should use it to defeat Gomah. It's hidden in an underwater cave in the Second Demon World, so Goku is then healed and Supreme Kai then teleports Goku and Piccolo its location. This confuses Gomah, who senses them and is about to take off in that direction until he is stopped by Vegeta, Kuu and Duu as a distraction. The Eye is usually invisible, but glows blue and is inside an orb at the end of a cave that flashes when someone pure of heart gets near it. Goku gets the Eye and places it on his forehead and transforms. As far as what this transformation looks like; I really don't know. I do know that I want it to have pointy ears and maybe fangs too. Maybe it will draw some inspiration from Super Saiyan 4 or God mixed with original stuff. Who knows. They teleport back to Gomah who is, of course, surprised at what's happened to Goku. Goku's Third Eye continues to give him power ups much like Gomah's, except his appearance doesn't change any more. As they fight, they realize that they are evenly matched and neither can defeat the other.

- Realizing the stalemate, Piccolo knows of one last resort. He tells everyone else that if the 2 Third Eyes touch, it will create an explosion the strength of both Third Eyes combined; killing anyone using them. To everyone's surprise, Kuu volunteers to do it so that Goku doesn't die. Doubtful that Kuu is pure of heart, Piccolo explains that you need to have the Eye in your forehead for it to work. Kuu assures them that he is pure of heart and tells everyone that it's worth a try. Piccolo telepathically tells Goku the plan and he agrees to do it. He retreats from the fight, removes his Third Eye and hands it to Kuu; assuring him, Arinsu and Duu that they will try to bring him back with the dragon balls. To everyone's amazement, Kuu successfully places in Eye in his forehead and transforms. Dunno what his transformation would look like. I'm picturing something similar to Pikkon with pointy ears. He fights Gomah briefly and manages to have both Third Eyes make contact with a headbutt. Both Third Eyes glow purple and merge while Gomah and Kuu are unable to move. As the explosion starts, Supreme Kai teleports everyone as far away as possible in the Third Demon World. The explosion sends shockwaves throughout the entire Demon Realm with strong winds and rumbling felt from everywhere.

- After the explosion dies down, everyone is sad for Kuu; especially Arinsu and Duu. But it's bittersweet after they teleport back to the First Demon World and see that Gomah has indeed been defeated. A small green blob then floats by then and starts growing and convulsing and eventually forming Kuu who is revealed to have survived the blast thanks to a small piece that could regenerate much like Buu did. Everyone cheers and celebrates, but is then startled by nearby yelling revealed to be Gomah back in his normal form. They see Gomah throwing a tantrum; kicking and screaming on the ground. As everyone watches him while confused as to how he survived, he suddenly stops yelling and begins laughing instead. He then picks up an Eye off the ground that is now purple and pushes it into his forehead. Everyone braces to fight him as he transforms again and his power grows twice as strong as it was now with the power of both Third Eyes combined. As they attack, a force field protects him from them. He then explains that he survived the explosion because he has a magic scepter that he has a magic connection to and can always teleport to and it allowed him to get away. He then explains that while he is now twice as strong as he was with the Evil Third Eye and could easily beat them, he doesn't want to fight them because this new purple eye - called the Enlightened Third Eye - also gave him wisdom and a change of heart. But he also explains that only those worthy of receiving the wisdom of the Eye can have it. He apologizes for the damage he's done as the Eye glows purple and his body disintegrates in a surge of purple electricity. The Eye drops to the ground.

- Afterwards, Piccolo says that not even the knowledge he gained from Neva knew about that. Everyone, stunned, walks up to the Eye; unsure of what to do with it. Piccolo levitates it off the ground, then sends it plummeting deep underground. Everyone agrees that it's better off being left alone; unsure of what else it's capable of. We then see something similar to what happens in the show with Kuu becoming the new Supreme Demon King. Piccolo then expresses remorse that the Demon Realm has lost dragon balls. Vegeta then suggests that Piccolo could transfer Neva's knowledge and abilities to Kuu, so that they could be used to serve the Demon Realm and that they are of no use for him back on Earth. Piccolo knows that Neva would agree and transfers everything he gained from Neva to Kuu. Kuu then grows antennae to represent Neva. The Dragon Team then decides that they will use the Namekian dragon balls to bring back Dende. Kuu then says that they can use the Demon Realm dragon balls right now. He brings back the dragon balls and they wish for Dende to come back. Kuu then tells Arinsu that next time, they can bring back Glorio if she wants.

So yeah, I guess that's it. I guess we see Panzy's father at some point and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta as well. If I was writing out a whole script to this, I'd think of more that Vegeta could do too, but didn't think of anything more during this summary. Also keep the post credits scene of seeing Evil Third Eyes in the store and Sacred Third Eyes too. I'm also aware the the 2 Third Eyes exploding on contact makes absolutely no sense and if I had any good writing skills, I'd come up with a good reason for it.

Simply avoid the contradictory (Piccolo suddenly can't speak Namekian despite the fact that both his initial self and Kami did so in the past, Goku and Vegeta's new forms that aren't aligned with Dragon Ball Super, the Namekians only recently as in one generation ago left the Demon Realm, their and Shin's lifespan).
Overall Daima feels like it's a lackluster rehash of Dragon Ball GT.

Now that it's done, I stand by:

1. Cutting the length by half. A full half.
2. Not introducing the continuity question-marks. It's small potatoes, but why bother adding that distraction or, I guess, making the audience feel silly for even caring about a linear metastory, even though that was always one of DB's pleasures amongst all the silliness? Especially when they're so easily dodged.
3. Give Panzy an arc of any kind wtf

1. I’d give more love to degetsu and Arinsu. Delve more in their motivations. As well give a back episode for Glorio and his connection to arinsu.

2. Eliminate much of the “filler episodes” and eliminate that whole Ginyu force rip off. They were unneeded. Instead put this love in the side characters and their stories.

3 Give piccolo some love. Actually make him useful.

4. I wouldn’t separate the team. Vegeta and piccolo tag along in the first trip.

5. Have duu and kuu fuse into Duukkuu. lol. It was there. It would have been cool. All the power and brains.

6. Essentially turn Gomah into canon Janemba after the eye consumes and takes over him.

7. Ssj4 is a power given to Goku because of Magic. He cannot unlock it without it help absorbing demon ki. Ssjgod Goku>>>Ssj4 Goku>>Vegito. So this wouldn’t upset the power scaling and contradictions.

8. Vegeta says he won’t use ssj3 again because the negatives outweigh the pros. Instead focus on buffing ssj2.

9. Have Shin and kabito accidentally fuse again when they eat the wrong bug. lol.
