Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.
Something my friend Robo4900 pointed out that I forgot was in the Blue Water dub of original Dragon Ball General White and #8 are voiced by Roger Rhodes and Jeremiah Yurk respectively. So the argument they have at the top of Muscle Tower is coming from the same cast members as Vegeta and adult Goku from GT.
Probably a coincidence as these actors were likely cast on the basis of who was best suited to the roles and use different voices than what we hear in GT, but if you listen closely you can tell its them.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

From what I've been told in SOFI's original Dragon Ball dub Piccolo was introduced as "Satan" but they transitioned to "Satan Petit Coeur" before dropping the "Satan" part, so maybe it was a gradual choice to show his softening up over time, although considering there was no Big Green dub for the series it wouldn't have the same effect without the context of the original series.
Of course Piccolo's morality was still.... questionable in those early movies, although he had come a long way from the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai.
Surprisingly, in episodes 3-4 from the French dub of Dragon Ball Z, Piccolo is called by his real name. https://youtu.be/8SLDhss_1EI?t=638

Thanks! I've added them to the list.

• Brazilian Portuguese (Wellington Lima)
Bardock and Goku may not share the same voice actor, but Wellington Lima voices Raditz. So that's neat. Finally some rare connection between those two. How many other dubs have that coincidence?
Coola and Freeza also share the same voice actor in that dub.

Yes. I remember they were both voiced by Gonçalo Carvalho in the European Portuguese dub of DBS Broly.
Coola and Freeza also share the same voice actor in that dub.
In case I remember or find any other dubs where it happened, I'll create a section for them.

Mònica Padrós is 27-153.
Ana Cremades is 27-132 & DBZ TV Special 1. The "132" is not 100% accurate of course since kid Goku appears in some flashbacks in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budōkai.
I don't know if you skipped that but as I've said above Brigitte Lecordier from the French dub also voices adult Goku in episode 160 of Dragon Ball Z (only the Kamehameha scream) and in episode 32 of Dragon Ball GT.

Fixed and added. I might have to re-format the list (don't worry I'm not gonna remove the credits from you and others) later because it's getting more and more confusing with the current format.
Sorry for the lateness, I've been having some problems with my internet connection these days.

Xebe Atencia from the Basque dub was the voice of kid Goku in DB and DBGT before playing adult Goku years later in Kai (1-98), Battle of Gods, Resurrection 'F' and Broly.
Future Gohan and Cell both being voiced by Dameon Clarke
One of the commercials for the One Piece/Dragon Ball crossover featured Zoro and Piccolo together. Guess who voices both of them in the English dub?
Kent Williams and Chuck Huber played Tao Pai Pai and Crane Hermit, respectively. Kent Williams also played Dr. Gero while Chuck Huber played Android 17...as well as Android 13, who kinda looks like a younger Doctor Gero. Kent Williams also played the Supreme Kai, while Chuck Huber voiced Kibito.
Meredith McCoy looks so much like Android 18, Bruce Faulconer had her model as 18 for an album cover.
The maga publication of the Dark Torunament Arc in Yu Yu Hakusho and The Cell arc in Dragon Ball occured at around the same time - in fact, Toguro and Cell's defeats were 3 weeks apart, with Yusuke vs Toguro and Gohan vs. Cell happening at roughly the same time. Both fights involved a villain obsessed with perfect strength and looking for a challenger worthy of their full power, and then deliberately trying to make the hero angry to draw out their true power.
Both Toguro and Cell are voiced by Dameon Clarke in their English dubs.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words? Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up! Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes! Cold World (Fanfic) "It ain't never too late to stop bein' a bitch." - Chad Lamont Butler
Funny that you mention Toguro (I'll assume that you mean the noteworthy young one), because his Italian voice was the same as Vegeta's (Gianluca Iacono). Given how much of their dialogues (especially during battles) consists of screams, if you wear a blindfold you genuinely wouldn't be able to tell the two characters apart.

I do have to wonder if that one was intentional by Funimation for some reason. I think the specials were dubbed concurrent with season 4 (between the Trunks and Android saga based on the World of Dragon Ball Z thing?)so they probably would have cast Clarke as Future Gohan and Cell around the same time.
Then again I’m not sure they would have known Gohan was going to to be the one to kill Cell when they had dubbed History of Trunks. It’s not like they had a good track record of looking ahead.

Also as far as Funimation’s canon is concerned, before their dubbing of the original Dragon Ball forced them to get it right, Tao was supposed to to be the field leader of the Red Ribbon Army and Gero the founder of the army . So they did cast Kent Williams to be both its “leaders” in their continuity.
