And maybe after that again there will be more Dragon Ball series dubbed!HinKyto wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 2:13 pm Yup, I was also surprised that it would be this soon, but they didn't say how many episodes we'd be getting. If these do well too, we might actually get the Universe Survival arc as well, and for once we'd have a Dragon Ball series fully dubbed in Danish xD

Brilliant news, hopefully this will lead, as you all say, not only to a completed Dragon Ball Danish series dub but also more content in Denmark.
Maybe it will be similar to One Piece where a large batch of episodes (27 in Super's case, 30 for One Piece) was licensed and then smaller ones (One Piece episodes 31-45, 46-53 and 54-61 were released a few weeks apart).HinKyto wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 2:13 pm Yup, I was also surprised that it would be this soon, but they didn't say how many episodes we'd be getting. Hopefully they will. Speaking of One Piece, I also asked if they had licensed more episodes of it, though unfortunately they only said they were considering it. The uncertainty is a little saddening, because I think it's actually a pretty solid dub, and Luffy in particular is great.
Either way, I can only hope they decide to continue it, and will dub more anime in the future

Re: Danish Dragon Ball Super Dub: Episodes 28-76 to come!
It appears there's been a change in plans. I just checked DRTV's Dragon Ball Super page to see if the date had been added, and it states the next episodes will be released on May 16th, so not as soon as I'd initially been told

Good news, but DR's page for Dragon Ball Super has just reverted back to the originally planned date of April 11th for the new episodes, so it looks like you won't have to wait another month to see them.HinKyto wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 4:19 pm It appears there's been a change in plans. I actually just checked it out to see if there were any news on the matter. Perhaps they're planning a second batch on May 16th and got the dates wrong. Regardless, it's good to see it'll be released in April after all

New episodes are available, but only 28-30 so far.
More episodes are due to drop in a week, but as far as I'm aware DR has not said how many there will be.

Elsewhere, they stated they'd release 3 episodes every Friday
Re: Danish Dragon Ball Super Dub: Episodes 28-76 to come!
Whoa. Goku Black is played by Silas Philippson, the son of the voice actor of Goku in the danish dub! Very interesting. Benjamin Hasselfug plays future Trunks. He sounds quite good for the role - worn out, desperate, gloomy. The voice is a bit deep maybe but quite fitting. As for Black he sounds really close to his father with a bit of menace. I wish he would sound more evil, though. But both are good castings. Looking forward to hearing more!
Re: Danish Dragon Ball Super Dub: Episodes 28-76 to come!
I was disappointed that Peter Secher Schmidt didn't end up reprising his role as Trunks (we never saw him in the Danish dub of the show, but two specials featuring Trunks were released on DVD), but I do understand they're trying to have a more varied cast of actors for the new dub, and as he just played both Freezer and Frost, I see why they didn't give him another major role. I do think Benjamin Hasselfug does have a somewhat similar voice, so he's a pretty fitting cast.
Silas Phillipson is almost impossible to tell apart from his dad when screaming, which I thought is quite amusing. I don't really have a comment on whether or not I think it's a good cast yet, I think I need to see a bit more before I can say

Re: Danish Dragon Ball Super Dub: Episodes 28-76 to come!
Only 1 new episode (76) has been released today with none scheduled for next week, so it looks like the current season of Super in Denmark has wrapped up.
Hopefully DR will be able to license more so Danish Dragon Ball fans can enjoy the Tournament of Power dubbed, and have the first ever full dub of any of the series in the native language.

Yeah, it's been a very enjoyable dub!
Re: Danish Dragon Ball Super Dub: Episodes 1-76 are available
I contacted DR, and they said they have yet to decide if they'll license the final arc. Though, considering that One Piece, which initially was release alongside DBS, has been confirmed to continue releasing on Friday and they said the same about One Piece when season 2 of Super started streaming, and that DBS seems to be more popular on DRTV, I'd say there's a pretty decent chance we'll get the final arc as well.

Re: Danish Dragon Ball Super Dub: Episodes 1-76 are available
Oh, that's pretty exciting news. Though, does that mean they're hoping to begin airing the dub by spring, or conclude it by spring? Assuming they'll be releasing 3 episodes every Friday as they did when releasing new episodes for DBS and One Piece this year, that's 18.3 weeks. Let's assume they'll release 4 episodes upon the conclusion of the series instead of airing the last episode one week later, this means that they'll have to start streaming episodes by January 30th at the latest if they want to conclude it by spring, so they seem to aim for a January premiere for season 3 (DR has grouped the Beerus and Frieza sagas as season 1 and Universe 6 and Future Trunks sagas as season 2).
I might not be a big fan of the overall dub (it's a mixed bag, I'd say), but I've watched it all and I'd much rather it existed than it didn't, so I'll be looking forward to watching the rest of the dub

Why do you think it's a mixed bag? Most voices and performances are good, with a couple not so good and a few excellentHinKyto wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 5:42 am Oh, that's pretty exciting news. Re: Danish Dragon Ball Super Dub: Episodes 1-76 are available
Well, it mostly stems from some of the changed voices. Mostly, that might come down to preference, but I absolutely loved Mei Oulund as Chichi and Bulma (who felt very distinct, in spite of sharing the same VA), and the new voice actors are fine, but I don't think they fit quite as well. Michael Boesen, who we've unfortunately lost, was perfect for Master Roshi and King Kai. I don't mind Torbjørn Hummel as Master Roshi, but I think they could have found better voice for King Kai than Benjamin Kitter. Marie Schjeldal was just the right kind of "I'm a bitch"-esque attitude for Android 18, while Katrine Falkenberg sounds a bit too "clean." It's not all bad, though, I think the new voice for Gohan is great, and I think they nailed Beerus. Peter Aude is perfect for Mr. Satan and Shou. Other voices I think are great are Pilaf, Buu, Goku Black, to name a few.
A lot of my issues might just be my DBZ-based bias, but I think there's one cast that's just a big mistake. Peter Vinding is not just a bad match for Vegeta, but his performance is also really lackluster. It's not as bad as the the first episode he was in, but I'd much rather they had recast Kristian Boland, who I also think could have been better in DBZ, but having heard him in other shows / movies, I'd say that had more to do with poor directing than anything else. For as important a role as Vegeta, I'd have expected a more solid cast. My opinion of the dub would probably have been a fair bit better if Vegeta at least had been cast better ^^'
