Okay, guys, we all know that Goku's father wasn't a brilliant scientist. But do you REALLY think they would've kept going with that joke?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Yeah, I do think so.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Goku's father invented jokes, horses, and beating, because he's a brilliant - *Gets assassinated*

I just remembered...

Was Saban responsible for Freeza's line "it's warm, how kind" when he sat on King Vegeta's throne?

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

Here is a HILARIOUS video that shows us the ridiculous edits and changes that were made to DBZ by Saban: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AiUaPRjmb4

They are all fun to watch, most of them I knew about but there were some edits that I never knew had been made. The one that made me laugh the hardest (other than the Cargo Robot one) was the edit where they edited Gohan's face around in DBZ movie 3 so that it doesn't show Tullece holding Gohan's eyes open, it makes him look like a retarded doll. :D

Image If I wasn't working on a custom avatar of Rambo as a Super Saiya-jin I would so crop this and use it as my avatar! :P

 Holy cow, that is the funniest thing I've ever seen! I'd make it my avy, but I've had this one since I joined, and I don't want to break that streak.

No one mentioned that the Ocean cast did continue in the UK after the Freeza saga?

This is more about the edits that Saban forced on Dragonball, rather than the cast. There's the Drummond thread for that.

I thought it was during the Cell Saga.

The funnier thing is that they used a scene of Tullece holding his eyes open for their opening sequence.

Yea, I made that a while ago but never linked it cause I didn't think people here would find it funny. That and I was kinda embarrassed about how primitive it looked. :? I do have my Youtube link below though.

I find it totally hilarious and enjoyable! Thank you for creating it, one of the funniest things I've seen on YouTube this week! Great job (I'd almost say it deserves a direct link in your signature  ).
