Either way, they’re not wasting a big event like this to reveal a mobile game. Whatever gets revealed will probably be the 2026 DB game.

Yeah... the Budokai games are my personal favorite DBZ fighting games and I'd love to have a new one.

Them not only releasing Battle Peak globally, but also announcing it at a big event like that would be such a jerk move when the other official Chinese DB game, Strongest Warrior, was the FIRST game (since DB Origins 2 in 2010 IIRC) to adapt early Dragon Ball in years AND the last. Not only did they not release it globally, but they let it die.

I get that it's not technically Battle Peak's fault, but I think it would have be the least deserving of the two to be globally launched, and I definitely believe it's the least deserving Dragon Ball game to be announced at Genkidamatsuri

This makes me want a "Dragon Ball: Goku" game by the Kakarot devs

I'm sure we'll see a DBS Kakarot but I think classic DB would be more appreciated by hardcore DB fans.

I will add this though, it means nothing but just keep it in the back of your mind. BN Europe owns the website domain to 4 yet to be released titles, Xenoverse 3, Budokai 4, 5 and 6. Maybe one of these series is the game to be announced in January? Nah its probably just the Kart racer

New Mobile Game
Dragon Ball Breakers 2
Dragon Ball Super: Kakarot 2 (Beerus to Tournament of Power. Super Broly and Superhero as DLC)
Dragon Ball Super Divers game for Nintendo Switch 2
Dragon Ball: Goku (Kakarot game focusing on Classic DB)
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 (The latest Xenoverse 2 DLC has been leading to something and has felt more high effort than past DLCs)
A Dragon Ball HD remaster or collection of any series (Budokai, Sparking, Legacy of Goku, etc.)

I don't think these are going to happen until the 2030s:

Dragon Ball FighterZ2 (Not happening anytime soon lol, especially with the ASW Marvel game)
A new Budokai game
Sparking Zero sequel

I think that Kakarot Super has the biggest chances since CC2 has been avoiding adding a lot of DBS content, but it can also be XV3.

I would love either of the following:

1) a Budokai 4 which takes elements from Burst Limit,

or

2) a Dragon Ball turn-based RPG which is completely black and white, making it look like the manga.
Secret of Weepstone did this for its art style and I think it'd work great for manga-inspired games.

We already got a filler game this year in the form of Gekishin Squadra, so I doubt that they'll give us a second one next year as well. We could get a main game next year, like maybe a Kakarot 2, followed by a filler game in 2027, then finally Xenoverse 3 in 2028 (assuming it's not actually Budokai 4).

Kakarot 2 would probably be Super focused but id love a GT focused Kakarot game(doubt that’d ever happen). So 2026 should be a main game since SZ was our last big game? Of course I want it to be a new Budokai entry but is it even likely at this point ? 2026’s game might just be an entirely new series which would be 50/50. Honestly what other developers could make a great Dragonball Game ? I wouldn’t mind a SquareSoft developed Dragonball JRPG that starts from Goku landing on earth to the 23rd WT.
