I guess Xenoverse is the media in which we get new DB stories.

Chapter 4 bets:
Bergamo (last vote character) and Fu (Ultra Supervillain w/ the Third Eye)
Ultra Supervillain transformation for Created Characters
New villain tease for Xenoverse 3 or future DLC

Random question. Do you guys think Fu might be killed after this? His antics in the previous DLCs haven't been looked at as bad even if they totally were, but this past saga he's endangered the multiverse and gave one of the most evil beings in it time manipulation. Outside of this all being some ploy to stop a (somehow) more evil force from wrecking everything, I don't see how they'd justify letting him go free.

Ok, I'm gonna leave spoilers unmarked since it's been 3 days, so if you don't wanna be spoiled on the new DLC before playing it, skip this post & come back to it later.
So, I was surprised when they finally announced this DLC since Chapter 2 came out almost a year ago & we were beginning to think this would never come out. However, here it is.
The main story content takes about 2-3 hours to play through & I was actually pleasantly surprised with where it went. It's some of the most ambitious storytelling we've had in a lot of these DLCs since the base game's story. Fu teaming up with an alternate timeline Freeza from around the time of the Super: Broly, leaving that timeline's Cheelai & Broly to go with you & Trunks, only for Freeza's megalomaniacal narcissism to lead him to use Fu & the crystals to infiltrate the Time Nest & try to use Shenron powered up & under their control thanks to the crystals influencing him to make Freeza a Supreme Kai of Time. Which they almost succeed in if not for the player character Time Patroller. Even then, Freeza still retains access to the powers & even absorbed the powers of Shenron for a bit until his body gives out on him. And where it leaves off with Fu planning something by himself, but also having lost his sword. I look forward to how they're gonna conclude this saga.
Gameplay-wise, I really liked some of the things they did with this one. The difficulty was definitely ramped up with this one, as Freeza is a LOT harder than some of the villains had been in a while to go with how they wrote his personality here. I like the way they use the Supreme Kai of Time powers Freeza gets access to, particularly in the last fight when he uses the powers to reverse time to bring you back to level 1 stats & even the attacks you have when you start the game. Luckily, that doesn't last long before Freeza resets the entire fight so you're all healed up & have your stuff back that Freeza just took away finally defeating him. The fact that you finally fight over Conton City as well is great. I have no idea why it took them so long to make this a thing, but I'm so glad they did. The closest they did was with the place I can't remember the name of from the first game during the base game. It's great.
As for the content afterwards, the stuff with Cheelai & Broly goes on way too long. I understand what they were going for, but because of the dumb JRPG shit like the inconsistent voiced lines where the main dialogue during each main thing isn't voiced for some reason, opting to have generic voice lines instead, only to have the lines voiced when you're talking to them after each thing & during the fights for some reason I can't understand. It just makes me think if you're gonna have the actors go through the trouble of recording generic voice lines for the cutscenes, why not just have them record the actual dialogue during those sequences? It'd give some life to those cutscenes. Otherwise, they're just the generic voice lines with very basic reaction animations from the characters on screen. Of which, these cutscenes are really odd. Static PNG screenshots of the places for the backgrounds (that, thankfully, aren't too low resolution so the lack of anti-aliasing & bad textures don't distract from the story moments going on in front of them). Basically, you have to build up your relationships with Broly & Cheelai by doing stuff with them & even training with Broly to build up the relationship meter with them. However, instead of having only the main things you do build up the meter like they should've, they also have you do a dumb thing by giving them different foods or capsules that they're wanting that I don't understand why. Especially since some of the hints for them aren't helpful at all to figure out what they're supposed to be, so you can easily fail them & I don't think anyone's made a key for them yet. Also, no idea where to get carrots in the game because they're not sold in any of the shops for some reason & spawn randomly in parts of Conton City.
In regards to the PQs, I also finally played through the ones they added for the Daima DLC because I didn't care to play them when they came out. They're all pretty good, but 181 was really hard for no reason. The ally A.I. also feels like it got tweaked a bit, as they're now much more aggressive &, as a result, they like to interrupt your attacks on enemies if they're not busy with other enemies, which is really annoying because it sucks to have your combos interrupted, or being unable to hit an enemy with a beam attack when you're done with a combo. I really don't know why they made them like this & I hope they fix this in the future.
The dub was also very enjoyable. I miss Chris Ayes, but Daman Mills has some of his best dialogue & takes as Freeza in this DLC. He's been voicing him in the games for the last several years (including this game) & I feel like he really let himself get engrossed in the character for this one. The way they scripted Freeza with Daman's performance meshed so well that I loved it. However, a really weird thing is whatever the fuck happened with Broly's dialogue. Half of it when you're in battle has this deepening filter applied to it randomly for some reason. I really don't know why, as I feel like Johnny Yong Bosch's performance is finally at a place to completely supplant Vic's & not just sound like Ichigo Kurosaki but deeper. I hope they fix this in a patch soon. Another cool thing is in 1 of the last PQs added with this DLC is where you have Super Broly on your side fighting the original Z movie incarnation. Johnny plays both, but he plays them very differently. Super Broly, he does a deep voice that barely sounds like him & Z Broly, he does a voice similar to his Ichigo voice (that, thankfully, isn't like when he played him in 1 of the earlier DLCs where it's closer to his natural speaking voice, but a bit deeper). It provides a good contrast between them & I'm just so glad Johnny's now playing Broly over Vic as his replacement.
So, yeah, that's my thoughts on what stuck out to me with this DLC.

How the F do you beat the final secret fight with Broly?
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
I was at least level 161, have ki blast supers & regular physical moves maxed out on a Saiyan character, got him in a lot of combo moves, then ended the combos with Kaioken Kamehamehas when I could, which just melts enemy health bars. Also, I have the regen energy capsules on my character for when I get too much health lost.

Not certain if it's just me, but I've had issues with the Raid function all week. Join, hit read, timer hits 0...and then just stuck in the raid lobby for 5min before getting a connection error and booted back to Conton. Even when creating a lobby myself the same thing happens. Is this an error? Can they not handle the traffic or is this some deliberate screening for anyone who hasn't bought all the recent chapters and updates?

Is there still no ultimate bundle with all DLC? How much do you have to spend to play the complete game? Even assuming those ridiculous bargain sales they tend to do, it still has to be a lot right?

Try transferring the game between hard drives to an external, then back to the Xbox's internal hard drive.TobyS wrote: Sat Nov 08, 2025 7:18 am It seems like there was unique log in prizes for the anniversary but I haven't been able to log in for 3 days... We were so wrong
Anyways, the content for the game is insane. I am feeling blue just thinking how much money sank in and I stopped supporting the releases after Future Saga 1.

Correction… so if I got the news right from the GDT, Future Episodes will not be 6 but just 4 with the third one coming up soon?
It looks like the AGE 1000 might truly be either direct or indirect sequel then, coming up in 2027 going by the calendar.
I guess they will be done with Future arcs till the end of this year.
