Which is a reference to Hochori Morimoto. You can see that the freaky Piccolo's shirt says "Nippon Ham".

The thing by Shenlong basically says that Goku goes on a journey to find Muten Roshi and collect the 7 dragonballs in accordance with his dead grandfather's dieing wish, in order to stop Piccolo's scheme of world domination. On his journey he meets Bulma, and teams up with her to take advantage of her dragon radar.
The thing at the bottom with the kanzenban cover is just a plug for the kanzenban. It says that you should go back and read the original story while waiting for more news about the live-action movie.

I would if Viz would release it uncensored.Herms wrote:The thing by Shenlong basically says that Goku goes on a journey to find Muten Roshi and collect the 7 dragonballs in accordance with his dead grandfather's dieing wish, in order to stop Piccolo's scheme of world domination. The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

It seems that the movie music company Immediate Music, has recently finished the music for the Dragonball teaser trailer. Rumors are saying that the trailer will play in previews for the new X Files movie that comes out on July 25, yes, in three days!!! I'll try my best to get to see the trailer and tell everyone what it's like.
Another interesting thing, was that on Immediate Music's website under Recent Projects they say Dragonball, but they have an old Dragonball poster with a letter letter Z on it. I remember seeing this poster when the movie was first announced, but I'm pretty sure it got dismissed as a fake.

They were probably just thinking, "we need SOME sort of poster image to put here," and grabbed the first thing they got when they Googled it.SSj_Rambo wrote:Another interesting thing, was that on Immediate Music's website under Recent Projects they say Dragonball, but they have an old Dragonball poster with a letter letter Z on it. Someone could always e-mail them one of the official Japanese posters or something and let them know the one they're using is an old mockup.

Did Chatwin... actually... smile? It may be a pedosmile (Maddox reference) but it's a start!
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
It'll probably say "DRAGONBALL" and "Coming 2009". That's how most teasers are. I think that's why they call them teasers.NeptuneKai wrote:I wouldn't get too excited about the trailer, usually when I get my hopes up it is just text flying at me talking about how awesome the movie is going to be without any real footage.

It's been heavily hinted that Fox will do some type of advertising for Dragonball at Comic-Con 2008, which starts tomorrow and goes through the weekend. So, anyone who is going or knows someone who is going should be sure to check out the Fox booth and take some pictures if there's anything good on Dragonball.
I however, will be sitting at home watching G4's coverage of the event and I encourage you all to do the same and keep an eye open for anything Dragonball related that they might cover or get a shot of.

Apparently someone has some images from the teaser.

I think they may be fake. They look fake to me, and the guy holding the dragonball doesn't look like Chatwin that much, and who else would be holding it?

I think a nice set of teasers or promotions for this would be cool if it had everyday people find a dragon ball and decide to keep them not knowing what they really are. Or find them and think nothing of them and toss them away and one of Piccolo's minions or Bulma retreives them. Or something to that effect.

That's what I'm thinking. Then again, there are sometimes exceptions to the rule. That new Watchmen ad that's running with The Dark Knight was labelled as a "Teaser" even though its almost nothing but footage.NeptuneKai wrote:I wouldn't get too excited about the trailer, usually when I get my hopes up it is just text flying at me talking about how awesome the movie is going to be without any real footage.
If you look at the curvature of the screen that the "trailer" is playing on you can clearly see the convex curve on the top of the set, this is a clear indication that it is playing on a normal sized TV, like one you would have in a house.
I don't see how anyone could possible get a copy of the trailer this early and be able to play it in their house, but even if they did, why would they use such a crappy cell phone camera for the pictures when they are most likely just kneeling down in front of their TV in the privacy of their own home...unless if they were trying to create a hoax.
