RIP Jefferson Utanes

Jefferson Utanes, the Tagalog voice of Goku passed away today at the age of 46.

One of the best Goku voices for me. It's really such a shame that he died so young.

May his soul rest in peace.

That's so young... I checked the clip and he sounds so action-packed.
RIP.

RIP to another Goku.

46 is far too young, can't imagine how hard this must be for his wife.

Note that he must have been the youngest voice actor to ever play adult Goku in Dragon Ball Z. If I'm not mistaken he was only 20 years old when he started voicing him in the Frieza Saga (1st Tagalog dub).

Although the age is not known Jeffrey Watson (who played him in the Blue Water dub of Dragon Ball) looked quite young.

It's possible he may have been cast in his late teens or early 20s though, as Canadian dubs around this time cast actors very young. Zoe Slusar was 14 when she was cast as kid Goku, and Marlowe Gardiner-Heslin played Tyson Granger in Beyblade from the age of 16.
