I'm thinking about 2 ways

1_ he's Kale dad / ancestor and him being a piece of shit is what caused her to be a criminal in the manga due to bad history of her family

2_ some villain with reality wrapping power pull him from a "what if?" Timeline where paragu die earlier casing him to be more lonely and bitter at the world
