It was mentioned here by someone that compiled a list of all the known Czech anime dubs:

I'm inclined to think that the special also aired with subtitles (if even said subtitles were available for the special, not all series received local subtitles and/or dubs for all programming according to my research).
You could be right, but sometimes there are exceptions to the rule. Like the Czech Canal+ ordering this new dub of Super Hero and the Polish Canal+ not even adding the existing dub to their service. It's also not too uncommon for a show's special/movie being dubbed but not the main show.

I know one fan who has said they will ask around to see if any Czech dub collectors heard anything about the GT special, so hopefully at some point we'll get more fans corroborating whether or not this dub exists.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Ah ok, gotcha. Yeah I hadn't realized that so many titles were dubbed into Czech there (I recall reading that the default language was Hungarian because that was the largest market served for the channel). Pan-regional feeds are tricky to catalog since they can air with multiple audio and subtitle options. It wouldn't be surprising if there's a ton of lost dubs from such channels, if no one was looking out for a random special or movie to have a dub option when other parts of show didn't have it.

I did, however, find this post on that forum that states the following (translated):

"Oh, it is possible that "Army in heaven" and "Dragon Ball GT: In the footsteps of the heroes" were also subtitles:-?"

Seems like they weren't sure if some of the titles were dubbed.

At any rate, glad to see more dub coverage for stuff happening!

Hmm... the only logical and possible way for the special to have been aired dubbed would be that it got aired at some point on AXN CZ.

Unlike Animax CZ, which had 98% of its programming subbed (the exceptions being Bleach, Naruto and Digimon), AXN CZ aired dubbed shows as shown here.

And as you know, the Hungarian dubbed and Romanian subbed versions of GT shown in Animax also ended up airing on their respective AXN Spin channels, and this is because they belong to the same company.

An AXN airing would also explain why the supposed dubbed release is listed as ambiguous since it's clearly known that, in Animax CZ's airing, the GT special aired a week (May 8, 2012) after episode 64 (May 1, 2012).
A little too late but yeah, I've been officially active in Kanzenshuu for ten years :)

Interesting, is this tied to one of the other Thai dubs in any way, or is it a whole new cast?

Interesting that lots of other languages get multiple dubs but alternate English dubs are dead.

I can't answer you with 100% certainty but it seems that Goku is completely new judging from the second photo in this comparison video.
