Do you look back on your old posts and regret posting them?

Post by TechExpert2021 » Mon Mar 30, 2026 9:35 pm

I know a similar topic exists, but since I don't want to necropost it, I decided to create a new thread on this.

Do you tend to look back on some of your old posts and regret posting them on this forum?

Personally, this post is the only one I regret posting here.

Yes. I was a dumb 18-year-old when I finally joined in 2009 after lurking for 5 years. I was even stupid during my 20s too. Me in 2016 vs me in 2026 are different people.

I joined Kanzenshuu in 2022, but I started posting here in 2024, in anticipation of the then-upcoming Dragon Ball Daima.

I forgot to mention that I've reported the post, as well as messaged the moderators via PM, to edit it to remove the political dissent/criticism content.

What does not being allowed to criticize Saudi Arabia have to do with you, when you are from the US and why do you care so much?

I’ve looked back at some of my older posts and honestly, I cringe at a few of the things I said. But that’s just part of being human — especially when you’ve been on here for over twenty years like I have.

My posts here have always been pretty normal. After all, I joined quite recently.

My earliest posts on some other forums, though, are a completely different story. I could barely speak English 25 years ago, and I can't deny that I was bad on top of that. I've been banned from several forums, and I deserved all of that. Still, it saddens me how I'm never going to have a second chance to participate into those communities. Sure, I just admitted that the bans were deserved, but permanent bans are stupid, in my opinion. People change over two decades, I know I did.
