While I would've liked an evil Goten story, I would prefer for it to be separate from the Future Trunks Arc. I don't see the point of having Goku Black AND an evil Goten.

Has anyone had the issue that when thinking or writing in English one pronounces Goku like the Funimation dub does? I cant for the life of me pronounce Gokuu properly in English, mentally or vocally. its always GO-koo.

Apparently, in a video comparing the Greek dubs of Dragon Ball Z and GT, sound engineer and VA in Dragon Ball GT and also in several films released by DeAgostini agrees with someone in the comments section that both dubs are awful. Interesting that he also describes something he participated in as awful.

I've never pronounced Goku the Japanese way. The only people I've seen do that who're native English speakers are people who watch the Japanese dubs & either that's the first way they hear it, or they wanna respect the Japanese pronunciation & those are mainly YouTubers like KaiserNeko & MistareFusion. Even most others in the English-speaking fandom who watch the Japanese versions of everything don't do that. Now, I've been studying Japanese for the last few years & have slowly been to Japan twice, so I understand why Japanese people speak the ways they do in their own language when it comes to inflections. However, not always are those inflections consistent between people & I can't bring myself to change how I say it, especially when it's such a minor difference anyways.

Lord knows I worked in several gig projects for the money.
I gave it the best I could given the tight-ass deadlines and shitty pay, but the end result wasn't good.

Relating to that, I really don't understand why they applied a deepening filter to the Super Buu voice for Kai. It sounds just off. Nowhere else in the FUNi dubs is that version of the voice used & for good reason.

I don't think that was it at all, but ok. Also, they literally have fat Buu sound high-pitched in the dub because they thought it would go with his design being unassuming at first glance, which I think the Japanese voice does too in their own way, so I don't think that logic applies. The Kai dub of TFC was also made between 2014-15, not 2000-2003. I don't think that was much of an issue by that point, especially when they changed Freeza's voice to be more of an effeminate man like his Japanese voice.

Fat Buu and Kid Buu are less intelligent compared to Super Buu, as for their voice I never saw that as a problem.

I'm not an avid reader but for the past 6 months I've gotten back into reading as a routine. It doesn't have to be a lot. 1 chapter a day is enough. It's been working. I've decided to reread the Dragon Ball manga which I haven't read in quite some time.
