Cold Skin wrote: Sun Jul 26, 2026 6:54 amPick your choice knowing that characters from GT and Z movies are not an option, as the story goes through the Z-Super main continuity.
Although that may not be the case now, I would like to see these added to the existing character stories, like having us fight Slug if we defeat Freeza with the Spirit Bomb, or have Goku and Vegeta go Ssj4 against Golden Freeza if they decide to not train with Whis.
Now that I think about it, DLC characters would also probably be out of the question for story mode too, as they would want people to have access to the new story through the new major extension, not being robbed of a story because they didn't buy the Super Hero pack or one of the Daima packs!

So right now, until we're proven otherwise, only characters having story bits in Z and/or Super and NOT being part of another DLC pack would have a chance at having a story episode made for them!

C-18 and C-17 should probably have one, there would be interesting what-if decisions to take.

Z Trunks would have some potential too.

Goten / Trunks / Gotenks could also have one, with what-ifs involving the kids when they weren't.

Technically not true. Cabba is proving to be an excellent punching bag for when I'm playing as actually-good characters.

I don't mod games, so I don't know how hard it was to pull this off, but it's quite impressive. :D

The US site doesn't have the most recently announced characters listed yet, which is weird. EU site doesn't either, but they skipped the final Daima pack completely although they have all except all of the recently announced Neo pack characters.... That's even weirder!

Super excited for the DLC. A lot of characters that haven’t been playable in Dragon ball games for a long time!

Devilman is indeed in the game; they just didn't advertise him for whatever reason. Vegeta GT can also transform into Ssj4.

Wait, wasn't the DLC releasing on the 30th?

I get that today we were getting a patch and the free stuff, but I'm seeing gameplay with characters that shouldn't be out until tomorrow...

Do we know the price of the DLC yet?

According to Dbshype, the expansion is $56 New Zealand dollars, which converts to roughly $33 USD or 29 Euros. That's far below the $50 mark I thought it was going to be.

PC owners can basically play the content for free, as the only thing releasing in a couple of days is an unlock key; all the content was released as part of the new patch.

Considering what little screen time Vegeta got in GT, I would've preferred if they just updated his Buu arc variant with his GT outfit and the ability to go Ssj4, which would've enabled them to release two additional characters in his place; Ice Shenron for example and Rildo.

I hope they announce Moro arc stuff. It might be too soon for that, though. >_<

It's waaaaaaay too soon for that; I expect the next expansion (Meteor 8) ) to continue filling in the gaps, such as the Tamagamies from Daima, Shadow Dragons from GT, more tournament characters from Super, etc. I know this game could continue indefinitely like XV2 did, but I think there's a lot of room for improvement in a potential sequel, which Moro and what comes after can be used as a selling point for instead of being DLC for this one.

I kind of expect them to do the XV2 thing forever, although if they did a proper new game with real overhauls, that would be nice.

I forgot that we still have up to 18 months before the Moro arc begins airing. Time is so fake and gay lol

If there's more to come, I'd like to complete the DB (Tambourine, Drum, Cyborg Tao, Krilin, General Black's machine, Pilaf's, Arale -couldn't give a shit about her) and GT roster (Goten, Rildo, Redjic, Ice Shenron, the rest of the dragons).

I'd drop it all for Moro, though, but it is way too soon. I mean, they could be working on it, and later on add the voices and final tweaks before the release (later 2027, I guess).

But I think it's gonna be stages, there are plenty of important stages left to add.

People are stuck on gap filling, but with the development and release schedule, I will bluntly bet on them releasing Meteor DLC with Moro, as cross-promo takes priority over satisfying missing bits. I’d love to get more stuff personally, but back to that timing, I don’t trust them to make it in time before Moro comes on air, unless we’ll get the related DLCs with huge delay (like Daima in Kakarot).

Honestly, with some of the DB content, I already got extras with DB young adult Goku, MaJunior and Chi-Chi. I am bit bummed that Goku has his barefoot/sans undershirt gi and not the full getup, while Kid Goku has this version altho he didn’t actually wear his gi with black undershirt.

It was fun playing tournament before midnight, as the game already downloaded the content and mixed the new characters in, but it was behind paywall before the DLC dropped on midnight.

Happy to give it more time today and explore what’s new.
Just two things. Krillin’s story was fun, but the story mode now feels even more disjointed and if they won’t do a full-blown sequel, including Broly, Moro and whatever comes later, the story mode with the paths needs a big coherent revamp.

Second thing, is it me or is the CPU AI even worse after the update? It’s now more locked into spamming one track mind approach and for me, it made the single play quite tedious and frustrating instead of chill and fun. At least that’s how I felt during the short while before I went to sleep :)
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

The Moro arc won't be released until October at the earliest, maybe even later depending on what's going on behind the scenes, while this (hypothetical) Meteor expansion could easily be released in the summer. A number of game producers said they were allowed to include content in the game BEFORE said content making its anime appearance first, so if Moro will be part of this game and not a sequel, then he and his men won't make it until 2028.
