Basically, they tried to get in touch with somebody at Toei to better understand the contract, what the clause actually meant, how long it lasted and discuss it, but they couldn't talk with anybody.
They waited for a while, then they got told they've been replaced.
They warn others VAs about the precedent set by this kind of contract, seeing it as something limiting personal freedom.
Replying to someone that theorized they got the boot after asking for a raise: money has never been mentioned by neither party.
They'd love an official statement by Toei explaining the reasons behind all of this, and remind us that this happened in other countries as well.
