Does this seriously strongly suggest that there will be nothing new about the manga during the entire run of the remake anime? If ends up being the case then I think I was right when saying that Jump Festa would have nothing.

And there's the possibility that Shueisha, CCT and Toei agreed that 2027 would be reserved for the rest of the remake, Xenoverse 3 and (possibly) the Moro arc being the new Dragon Ball content for that year while they'll keep the manga in the fridge.

So I guess my hope to see it returning soon may indeed be dead. Toyo, It's ovah.

Stop pyching yourselves out about it and just focus on other hobbies. The comic will inevitably return some day, let yourself be pleasantly surprised when it does.

The thing is that I think it's important to point out when there's a change. This one in specific has a detail, as previously they always used the typical message "will remain on hiatus in the next issue". But this time they didn't, they just said a generic "on hiatus" without specifying that it's for the next month, then proceed to telling us to watch the remake anime in this meantime.
That can be interpreted as being the next month only, but also the next months, as well as the months of the entire run of the new anime and also further than that.

And yeah it was a problem that they kept giving the same message every month and the manga never returned, but they were at least specific about it, now they were just straight up vague about it which works just like the indefinite hiatus message that they use for the websites for more than a year, and VegettoEX has already shown something that makes this even more concerning, there's the possibility we won't see that old message being used again for example.

But you're right about should focus on other things, just think this detail couldn't go unnoticed through, it's at least useful to kill more hopes lol.

Not at all, it's the Tweet author who wrote that description.
Honestly it's actually worse because that'd be slight confirmation it would be returning after the remake, but now we're still stuck with nothing :lolno:

On the other hand this might still mean Jump Festa has a chance to announce it's return.

I think at this point it's safe to say the manga won't be returning at all; whatever comes after Granola will be handled by the anime's staff, maybe with Toyotaro's involvement if he's lucky.

I just saw that, thank you for the clarification, I still would like to know what the content actually says though, if there's even any mention to the manga or the typical message from before, if not then it would be the worst scenario.

I don't think so given their history, unless they want to do something like what was done during the run of Daima, when they announced chapter 104, but I think it was a different ocasion, so idk, i think it's more likely that they would wait for the remake to end, the "do not announce this product yet, or else it will steal attention given to this other product" mentality, or they could also go the "let's hype it more" mode, especially if the remake ends up flopping, let's see.

I wouldn't fully commit to that at first, but indeed him removing the "I draw Dragon Ball Super for the V-Jump magazine" message from his bio and changing to something that suggests that he can't return to it should mean something. It's still on his Instagram but he hasn't udpated it since last year.

I think they want the anime to be the main product, so whatever is going on with Black Freeza will be resolved there following the adaption of the Granola arc. The anime just generated more hype and revenue than the manga, so having something like Black Freeza debut there first will be a massive deal.

That would only happen if Shueisha and CCT agreed that this was the direction for the series moving forward, the fact that they have to adapt two arcs and a half already finished in the manga into an anime format was just a matter of timing that ended up being inconvenient for them. After that, they might not even make an anime, maybe a movie instead, or, regardless of the format, we’d have to wait until 2030 for the manga to return, and even then, it might just be to see an adaptation of a single arc or movie.
And it would be a terrible long wait, Unless Toyotaro is willing to do it, but he won't be getting any younger until there, which may also result in him losing his patience, if that's what they have planned then it would be better for him to retire in my view or relocate him to work in another series in the meantime. There's still a bit more than 3 years for this decade to end after all.

V Jump reposted Toyotaro's reply to the father who reached out to Toyotaro in behalf of his kid. I think this is quite interesting and significant:

I think the fact that they aren't coming back with it Next Month or November shows that they aren't worried about capitalizing on the moment while there's also a new anime with the same name airing. Unless they really want to wait until the Jump Gesta in December so they can analyse if the remake is being a success, and if it would be a good idea to bring back the manga during its run.

As for the retweet, I would think it's interesting and significant too... if it wasn't for the fact that this V Jump account occasionaly retweets some of Toyotaro's posts that are Dragon Ball related. So to me it's more likely that this was just them promoting the creators they have when they are promoting their properties, even if they are casual posts. Gave an example below which I believe works in a similar vein to that one Toyotaro retweet.
I think people saw this as possible indication of something happening behind the scenes because Toyotaro makes more posts than that and V jump choose to repost that one amongst the few they repost. But I personally would be surprised if it was the only one.

And the message in the Toyotaro Tried to Draw I believe it's because it's being used to promote the remake anime, the latest two drawings were of characters exclusive to the old Super anime.
