Anyone else noticed this? I thought it was fake but then I rechecked the two trailers and it's indeed true. Seems like they'll be slightly nerfing some of the visuals, at least in my view
Or maybe not, maybe the way it looked was edited for the first trailer only, I don't know.

Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
^ It's likely just a case of artistic choice, making some shots final, I wouldn't call that "nerfing" as I do think the second version is better as the first one really exagerates the veil of light.
In this case, they might have thought that the first shot was problematic either visually (too overblown, like a big veil hiding and blurring some details) or logically (Beerus might have a heavy sleep, but perhaps it still makes more sense that he would sleep in a darker setting rather than having a projector shining blinding light onto him).
So surely, some shots were tweaked here and there as months went by to the release, but just tell yourself that while some new revisions will not suit you (like this one), surely other revisions will be better (they might be adding extra effects sometimes rather than taking them away for example, or taking away some effects that YOU would have thought unwelcome this time)!

The first trailer likely had less time for them to be precise about the compositiing. In the second shot, the details of the linework is lot more clear, so the more subtle touch doesn't just flash the viewer's eyes with a bright, white light. It gives the effect of the camera lens being in proper focus this way.

If it's changes to the artistic view, then I guess it may be something new, because i recall some shots from the DBS Broly and Super Hero trailers which you could tell were actually just unfinished when compared to the shots in the final products, such as missing extra layers of shading and lighting (I even remember seeing a short trailer showing a unfinished version of SSJB Goku vs Ikari Broly with what seemed to be the same background used for SSJB Goku vs Golden Freeza from Fukkatsu no F). In this case neither look a more polished / finalized version of the other in my view, just different (being more objetive, nerfed was more personal)
Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
I was just thinking that the three arcs being adapted in Dragon Ball Super: Beerus are from when Chioka Masatoshi was the primary series director. Hatano Morio was partially involved as a series director for the Universe 6barc, but his main bread-and-butter was being the series director of the Future Trunks arc.
I don't know what Hatano Morio is currently up to, but ai do hope that he's brought back for any potential enhancements to the Future Trunks arc. As a director, Hatano has a strong vision and I think letting him exercise that vision with more time and tweaking the arc that he helped make would be really cool.

I wonder when Crunchyroll will announce the details of their simulcast (Daima was announced exactly one month before it aired).
Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has been announced for a simulcast in France on the Mangas channel, airing every Tuesday at 23:00 starting October 13, 2026:

Subbed I bet. This will be just like the Daima simulcast that also aired on Mangas.sangofe wrote: Sat Sep 26, 2026 1:44 pmNow I wonder if it will be subbed or dubbed...TheRed259 wrote: Sat Sep 26, 2026 9:45 am Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has been announced for a simulcast in France on the Mangas channel, airing every Tuesday at 23:00 starting October 13, 2026:

I received word a few days ago that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has confirmed to be simucasting on Viu TV and streaming for free in Hong Kong. No word if English subtitles will be provided just like Dragon Ball Daima did on Viu TV. No word if Netflix will air it in that region either.
The world is your's.

At this point, I think a topic regarding the series' international releases should also be opened:Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Sat Sep 26, 2026 4:45 pmSubbed I bet. Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

We only got one week off with Daima, despite only being a single episode longer. Speaking of which, if this is the second show to have that few episodes, is this an indication of the Moro arc also being around the 20 episode mark ?

Not necessarily. Supposedly Daima was the web series that was being rumored about before they decided to put it on Fuji TV. If that's the case, that would explain the extra long first episode and the weird editing throughout the series. Based on the abrupt ways some episodes ended, I wouldn't be shocked if Daima was originally ten 45- to 60-minute long episodes that were cut down the middle to get 20 (and I'm not the first to make that observation IIRC). As for Beerus, it's a recut/touchup of existing footage with a limited amount of reanimation and a specific narrative end point in mind, and they seem really dedicated to making these episodes feel like they're moving. Because of that, whatever episode count they came out with was what they came out with. The Dark Knight wrote: Mon Sep 28, 2026 10:35 amWe only got one week off with Daima, despite only being a single episode longer. For Moro, working from the ground up means they probably have a tiny bit more freedom to plan for a greater episode count. I imagine they have a limit of two cours so they can keep the six-month-tag-in-tag-out thing with One Piece going, but they can probably use those two cours in whatever way they want (at least within the parameters of a normal production). Because of that, I can see them doing 24-26 episodes for Moro.

So, about 6 episodes per arc.Neo-Makaiōshin wrote: Mon Sep 28, 2026 9:11 am https://x.com/SugoiLITE/status/2104473137668645264
[RUMOR] The show will be 19 episodes long.
With Battle of Gods and Resurrection F arcs, we can use the movies as a guide to figure out what they'll cut, but I wonder what they'll remove or change from the Champa arc.
Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
The difference here is that ONE PIECE will likely be taking the time slot over again and unless there's somehow room for a seven episode series of some sort to fill up the gap, the cours are going to be really out of whack. The Dark Knight wrote: Mon Sep 28, 2026 10:35 amWe only got one week off with Daima, despite only being a single episode longer. If this 19 episode count is true, then they need to either do break weeks or find a way to fill in a good seven weeks of timeslots.

Couldn't the One Piece season just be a few episodes longer to make up the difference ? if Toei is the only one who uses that slot, then I assume it won't matter what they air there as long as it's filled with something. If DB can be less than 26 episodes, then OP can be more.JulieYBM wrote: Mon Sep 28, 2026 12:30 pmThe difference here is that ONE PIECE will likely be taking the time slot over again and unless there's somehow room for a seven episode series of some sort to fill up the gap, the cours are going to be really out of whack.

Not really. The production is already going to have to account for two upcoming films and having to figure out how to turn the next 25-ish chapters into a two cour set of episodes that will involve a ton of action and planning the schedule to work. The Dark Knight wrote: Mon Sep 28, 2026 1:01 pmCouldn't the One Piece season just be a few episodes longer to make up the difference ? if Toei is the only one who uses that slot, then I assume it won't matter what they air there as long as it's filled with something.
