Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0
Is there any info about who animated Episode 60 at all? It's one of my favorites in terms of appearances, coloring/shading, along with linework. I couldn't find any information about 60.

You can find the full credits for Dragon Bal Super Episode #60 on the Kanzenshuu website.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0
These are Yamamuro corrections, though the thick linework has been done by whoever applied the correction during the genga stage. Unfortunately, without access to production materials, it'd be impossible to tell you who specifically.whitedesert wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2025 7:55 pm Is there any info about who animated Episode 60 at all? Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0
Alright, so is animator info about 60 generally a mystery? Just inferring that from lack of any dedicated image in the Imgur link along with the original Animation Catalogue 2.0 post here. What here specifically rings Yamamuro? This coloring/shading and linework doesn't ring a bell regarding him, I'm not that well-versed in regards to animator styles so I apologize if this sounds completely incorrect. This frame of Black is also in that same style as the images above (same scene obv)Ajay wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2025 9:43 pmThese are Yamamuro corrections, though the thick linework has been done by whoever applied the correction during the genga stage. It's a good time to revive this thread am I right? What you guys though about this first episode?
Pretty decent animation, I wonder if they will keep it up.

Yeah, decent, consistent, almost no highlights in faces, the rough linework we've seen in previous productions, nice desaturated colors and movie-like composition, strong direction in the Goku mental training bit, this is not animation but the old sounds enhanced that fight 10x more.Noah wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 1:12 pm It's a good time to revive this thread am I right? When he transformed into SSJ1 the first time who was that? Nakatsuru? that eye curve came straight up from Daima:

I'm not gonna do this each episode but wanted to compare against EP1 of 2015 super to see what's changed:
1. A still side shot of Goku after he removed the tree stump.
2. Ofc the training sequence, some of the real life shots reused the ones from the original, for example one kick then a stomp to the ground and the punch that made a hole on the ground as well, but this version made it way better in terms of art direction.
3. When Goku grabs the falling truck, in the original super there was 10 seconds of a PNG of him flying with the truck up to the mountain, this version added a new and nice cut with the camera looking at Gokú from above.
4. The whole scene of Chichi seeing the money, happy because it would pay Goten's studies and Goku asking to go training was completely redrawn, background and all.
5. The rest are existing cuts, touched up, added or improved effects, camera shaking and of course some conversation scenes were cut off and shrunk, I can tell the aura effects are clearer and better, excessive blur in the old super is not a big problem here, and so on an so forth.
I'm happy honestly, next episode will be the one to replace 5, that's the one I'm looking forward to

Already shared my opinion in this thread on why I think they did that.Spoiler:
In any case though, I knew that's a change but it's so inconsequential I didn't even bother to mention it.
Will need more time to process EP2, but definitely worth the enhancements!
