At what time will Dragon Ball Super Remake appear?
Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
Not even in the Top 100 of best songs in the franchise.Cold Skin wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 11:35 am As for the opening song, just hearing the bit from the trailer, it should be one of the best songs of the franchise
Completely meh.

The song itself is not bad per say, but it's very generic and average. I really wish they would just get Hironubu Kagoyama to compose new songs for this franchise instead of constantly relying on these no-name bands.
Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
The clean Opening and Ending sequences have been officially uploaded by Toei Animation. I think I like the Opening song more when I'm not paying attention to the animation. There's a bit of a weird disconnect that I feel like throws the two off?
The difference between Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Kai is that the former has its audio files still existing. When Dragon Ball Kai was made, not only did the original audio not exist in raw form anymore, but the recording equipment was totally different and would have stuck out. A cartoon from 2015 isn't going to sound different from a cartoon from 2026.
The new cuts would either use the same number of lip flaps as is needed to match old recordings or simply not use any voice recordings at all. Not every fight needs the sound of the actors making battle noises, after all.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 11:21 am How would reusing the Japanese dialogue from the original Super work? I guess this means they won't be cutting up the footage as much as Kai because otherwise the audio wouldn't sync up.

MegaTera Zero and VK Blanka have over ten years of experience in the industry, so they're not exactly 'no-name bands'. They also produce music that has a younger sound. We can opine about our love for Kageyama all we like—and maybe I'm about to say something you already know, so I apologize—but he's old. Kids aren't going to be looking up a 65 year old man's work for cartoons and video games and this series sure as shit isn't being made to pander to adult nerds or else it wouldn't be stiched together from a different show with bad animation and background music lolThe Dark Knight wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 11:52 am The song itself is not bad per say, but it's very generic and average. I was disappointed by OP/ED visuals a bit, the OP looked more like AMV and the ED was average credits background placeholder. Always wondered why they didn't implement some of the cover pages from manga in anime. Oh well, at least the songs sound decent.

Daima was a week delayed as well. Honestly, given that Netflix is one of Crunchyroll's rivals and it's a global deal that Crunchyroll presumably weren't involved in, I think it's pretty good going that the delay for these shows is only a week.

Honestly, the opening and ending themes were mediocre, especially the ending, I found the song boring. In my opinion, the first ending theme from the original series, Hello Hello Hello, is far superior.
And something I personally didn't like was that they followed Daima's example and decided not to include a title card with music, eliminated eyecatches, and didn't include a dedicated Next Episode Preview (elements that had been present in all DB anime except Daima, so to me they're part of its identity).

Alright, it's even more fascinating to watch than I anticipated, they do change and refine quite a lot, it's gonna be a real pleasure every week!
They use new tracks from Sumitomo but also tracks that he had done for the original Super series, the Boo arc of Kai and the movie Battle of Gods if I'm not mistaken (but in a new extended version with new parts never heard before). But you'd have to check that last part to be sure, I THINK it was a Battle of Gods, but it definitely was a track that existed and now has a new part of the melody, that's for sure.
This means they feel free to pick things from various Dragon Ball productions he worked on as long as they think it works with the scene. Using tracks from Kai was something that already happened in the original Super, but it was still quite rare, while here we get one even in the very first episode.
The experience is amazing and we might have the best version of the story yet if it keeps being like this first episode with the amount of refinement, corrections and new elements. It really changes the impact of some scene, with the monster that fights Beerus being shown as much more powerful than before to show how Beerus effortlessly beat a creature that can create blast that cover the full horizon in an explosion.
Several scenes caught be offguard with the absence of music too. It's very simple, but hearing just the wind blow when Shin and the Elder Kaio Shin are watching what happens has some sort of gravity to it.
There is also a very mature feel to it in the extra presentation somehow, with the way the title of the episode is written simply without a happy jingle and colorful screen or the way the next episode preview is actually just a next title preview or the way eyecatches are not present with the title of the show silently appearing in a corner of the screen. It looks more serious, more mature that way.
The opening is pretty impressive, and the song is great especially in the chorus, but I must say I don't like the pre-chorus part of it that goes a bit too much into aggressive "hard to read" noisy rock for my taste.
Sadly, I have to report that the visuals for the ending don't do it for me: it's way too simplistic to just show parts of Shenron with a 3D Shenron that is completely unimpressive and unappealing. Usually, most endings are worth watching and even checking out as creditless versions for having lots of interesting shots, but this one is really not worth it if you ask me. Oh well, you can't win on every aspect, I guess.
Overall, this series is gonna be a blast, I'll be eager to see the new "this time we do it right" episodes every week!

The OP has some really good visuals and some pretty clapbait but the song is so ass. Feels so generic. Really unfitting.
And the ED is a literal nothingburger filler ED. If there's something you cannot complain about Super it was the EDs. Nearly all of them were all fantastic.

Hmmm, that number doesn't add up....
Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
Huh? We had Dragon Ball like in 2024, dude.
But that made me think that in an alternate timeline where this remaster idea came first and we didn’t have to waste time with Daima, we’d probably already be at the ToP arc, speculating about when the Moro arc would start airing.
And I say this with no disrespect to Toriyama, since Daima really did seem like a story he wanted to tell. It's just a shame it didn't turn out as good as it could've been.

Don't think this is going to surpass the BoG movie, for me. Still, I thought the episode was decent, overall, and the new cuts are appreciated. The aura effects they gave to the red alien seemed a bit much, though.
As for the OP song itself... I like it. I can see a lot of people don't like it and that's okay. Personally, can't really say where it places for me until I've heard it used for a dozen episodes.
I do wonder if they'll keep Chozetsu Dynamic for the Hit fight... I feel like that scene is synonymous with the song.

Thing is, Kai needed new voice acting anyways because Toei junked the dialogue recordings after they mixed it for the older shows to reuse the tapes. Super? They most likely just have the recordings they made from 2015-18 on an external hard drive somewhere, so they can just reuse them whenever.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 11:21 am How would reusing the Japanese dialogue from the original Super work? Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

Another thing that just crossed my mind... Since it hasn't been confirmed that the remaster will cover all the way up to the ToP arc, and so far it seems like it's only going up to the Champa arc...
So the anime will be split into different parts for the sake of consistency? Like, the first one now is covering Beerus, the second Golden Freeza, the third Champa... and then they jump straight to the Galactic Patrol arc before going back to the Zamasu arc and the other arcs they haven't covered yet?
Damn, this is quite confusing...

The new OP is really good! It’s dynamic and fun. I personally prefer the original one, though, but that mostly comes down to personal taste. I just really love how nostalgic it feels (even back in the day)
Just sit here and waste your precious time. When you want to do something, don't do it right away. Don't do it when you can. Read my posts instead. It's the only way to live a life without regrets.
Re: The TV Anime Series Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will be broadcast on Fuji TV in the fall of 2026
They're probably just doing six months of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, six months of ONE PIECE (1999) and then who knows what will be airing in this slot in October 2027. Patience is the key to being a fan of art!Noah wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 9:45 pm Another thing that just crossed my mind... God dammit, that opening grinds my ears! If I haven't seen the logo and visuals, it feels like watching Gundam spin-off in 2010s.
And even then I'd vastly prefer songs like Raise Your Flag or Daybreak's Bell, as they have some clear hooks, catchy chorus and some interesting production choices. This is like asking AI to generate bland j-pop rock song and I can't stand the chorus screaming...
Chozetsu and Genkai Toppa were no contest superior... at least, we have moved from the Digimon-like openings of Kai for a bit, therefore, I am ranking this new outing next to those at the bottom of crap barrel.
Looking forward to watch the first episode tonight

Yeah, I've listened to the OP a few times and not feeling anything, but maybe it will grow on me.
The ED is even more forgettable, which is a shame as Hello, Hello, Hello was quite a good song.
I'm sure there will be things to like about Super Beerus but by the looks of things it won't make Super (2015) obsolete.
