Yeah nice catch, 22nd Tenkaichi Yamcha has more of a bowel cut. I guess I'm not used to seeing that haircut without his bad yellow jacket along with it.

Let me be the first to say....what the fuck? Goku better be traveling through time for these character designs to make any sense.

Chibi Mystic Gohan already pointed out that, like kanzenban volume 34's cover, this could simply be a collection of characters in their most recognizable forms. It might not be reflective of what their designs will be during the actual special. Still, I'm not sure there's anything in that poster that can't be explained:

22nd Tenkaichi Budokai Yamcha: djkalteraphine already pointed this out, but he seems to have his Buu arc haircut. He could just have switched back to his old dougi
Post Elder Kaioshin trained Gohan: all he needs to do is put that dougi back on
After Cell North Kaio: consistent with a post-Buu setting
Post Namek Dende: same as above
Pre-Buu Kurririn: The only really strange one. Still, it's very possible for him to simply shave his head again and put on his old dougi (perhaps because he's decided to fight again?).
Buu Saga Bulma (I think): consistent with post-Buu setting
Fused Kaioshin: ditto
Kid Goten: consistent with post-Buu, pre-Uub setting
Kid Trunks: same as above

I'm totally with you on this one, it's just a promotional image, it might not even be the final poster for the movie.

And also, does anyone who's been active among the fan base for a long time now (I'm talkin' 13+ years) remember if this much commotion was made over Fusion Reborn!! Goku and Vegeta, Dragon Fist Explosion!! If Goku Won't Do It, Who Will?, The Path to Ultimate Strength or any of the other movies when they were coming out?

That's true but the fact that they added two original characters in there makes me think that this is more then just stock art that they slapped onto a poster. Anyway before I get excited about the special I need to know if it is at least the length of a regular episode, hopefully it won't be some 5 minute ordeal. Since the humans made it into the poster I hope they play a somewhat large role this time around.

The elder Kaioshin is dead on the poster (he is only dead for a few hours during the Buu saga) and Chichi has her Saiyan saga to Cell saga design (she look older in the Buu saga).

People really need to stop trying to analyze the poster, we don't even know if it's anything more than a promotional ad with the characters that Toei knows we love the most and a sneak preview of two new ones. This poster was made just for the sake of getting us interested, any posters that come out after this should be deeply looked into, not the first one. And if this does end up being the final poster, than it was still designed for the sake of grabbing our attention, not hinting towards the time-traveling, saga-swapping-characters and Dimension X bad guys.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just some promotional art hammered out quickly to get people interested, similar to those "trailers" Toei did for the DBZ movies where it was nothing more than Head Cha La with a few character designs spliced in.

I pointed those out a while ago, my question about them is on the latest podcast. Who pointed out that the lil guy looks like the Dragon Ball Online design of a Yardratian...(?)

That poster's textless too, awesome, I know a few of us have been looking for that! They're not really using an original logo for Dragon Ball there are they?
