"Goku!" *GLOMP*
I'm confused, why was Mai running for Chatwin?
That's Chi-chi.
Herms, I think that's her usual name in most Latino dubs.

It's because "Chi-Chi" has different meanings in different languages. And not all those meanings are TV-friendly. >_>;;
That did seem pretty in-character for Chi-Chi to rush-glomp Goku like that.

D'awww.
I'm willing to put up with a lot of changes if ChiChi gets to be in a major role.

Can anybody discern what Son was saying? I thought it sounded like Tenka'ichi Budôkai at first...

That's interesting. But now I'm kind of curious: what languages and what meanings, if you don't mind me asking?

Um, it means insulting-word-that-involves-calling-someone-a-woman's-reproductive-area? ^^;
It only applies to
certain spanish-speaking countries though. Not all. In other spanish-speaking countries the word is safe and simply means "girl".

Ah, I know what will happen: it will be just like DBZ movie 4! Piccolo will beat the snot out of Goku, Goku will go not-quite-Super Saiyan for a little while and turn the tide, Piccolo will become gigantic, and then they'll whistle him to death.
Actually, I wouldn't be suprised with something like DB movie 4. Where someone either dies (or more likely, apparently dies) and Goku has a sudden power burst that makes everyone go "ZOMGWTFBBQ O_O" and lets him beat the crap out of King Piccolo.

The dialogue will be like the anime. Watch "The One." The one-liners are so deliciously corny. "I am nobodies bitch, you are mine!"
This leaked scene reminds me of this:

If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Not to be presumptuous, but Guyver and City Hunter came out a few years before FoTNS. Crying Freeman never saw a U.S Release to my knowledge. (So my ravenous childlike mind back then wouldn't have had any idea of its existence. Actually, same applies with City Hunter, you would say, because I didn't see that movie until years after its release.) But, I do get what you're saying, nonetheless.
I'd give them instant kudos if they were to have Goku go "You're clinging to me! Stop that!" and then show him trying to get her off. (Maybe I'm expecting a tad too much, yes?)

Of course, my scenario would have to include the "I'm a hick from the mountains and don't know much about girls" aspect, which isn't there, so I guess my expectations are a tad too high.
Then again, without context, that scene would be pretty entertaining. Both from what's happening on the screen and the million or-so "GAY!!!1" shouts reverberating throughout the theater.

I don't know it's sort of a way of showing that he hasn't earned my respect yet, that and I just kinda thought it would be funny.

If Chatwin proves himself in this movie, I promise to drop the sarcastic air quotes when I refer to his version of "Goku".
I just wiki'd him (because in the course of my previous version of this post I wondered how old Chatwin is) and he's only 26.
Is it bad of me to say its a smart idea that he's getting married (this coming February) before this movie hits theaters?
On hiatus.

I hope I wasn't being misunderstood in anyway. There really isn't much of a division with the manga aside from the shift in tone. That's almost like saying people don't really the difference from
Naruto and
Naruto Shippuden, when there really isn't. It's just Naruto.

I meant as far as the anime. I've had to explain to some people that I know that " Dragon Ball is when he is a kid and Z is when he is an adult." I was just saying that there are people that think it all starts with Raditz and his shenanigans.

Corny one-liners doesn't really sound like the anime dialogue I know.
