King Kai's world is in the Afterlife. Could Goku leave again if he goes back to the Afterlife?
Probably, but even if can't, he could go to visit King Kai before he goes back, he only needed to find it once, after he got dende he was able to teleport back to earth directly so it stands to reason he could go back to New Namek directly.
1. No, he doesn't. He stops at King Kai's planet again on the way back.
2. Goku's teleporting works only when he can sense ki. Even if he knows which direction to look in, if he can't detect the Namekian's chi from Earth (which he showed he couldn't, which is why he had to ask King Kai in the first place), then he can't teleport there.
Kami explained the whole thing to Yemma, and they asked permission for him to travel to snake way. When Goku gets back fully trained, Yemma even says "Maybe the Earth does stand a chance.
Is that a dub line? My Viz manga has Yemma saying something like "That mortal..made it back from Snake Way?"

Okay, yeah, I rewatched it and he does go back to King Kais...
But there was a lot of dialogue that suggested that he didn't have to, and that he could still IT back to Namek from Earth if he had to do it again.
When he sees King Kai Goku says "If you could just point me in the general direction I'm sure I could find it."
King Kai tells him which direction to look and Goku finds it saying
"Oh wow I couldn't believe I didn't sense it before it was so obvious"
When he gets to New Namek the elder says he could sense what was going on on Planet Earth, so once again i think if you already know where one planet is you can sense it from the other.
When he travels back to king kais he just says thank you and leaves again, it seemed more like he was being polite than anything else...
I think at this point it is all speculation. Either King Kai's planet was just a central point where planets that were otherwise impossible to find are traceable, or Goku just needed to be pointed in the right direction and now can find it from Earth.
"An optimist thinks that this is the best possible world; a pessimest fears that this is true."

Those are two more things that are either dub-only or anime-only.

Freeza was a galactic problem, so of course, Kaio would do anything to help them against someone that powerful in the north galaxy. The Androids are an earth only problem, and they aren't going to go into space or anything, so it's basically the earthlings problems and not Kaio's.
Wait a second here, Kaio pretects the North quadrant of the Universe, that includes Earth, plus I remember him being very concerned about Goku when he was fighting Vegeta, and at the time Vegeta wasn't a Universal threat like Frieza. Gohan is Goku's son, I think Kaio would help, however, it's not like Gohan ever knew how to contact Kaio.

Kaio does kind of chastise himself for taking sides when Kuririn is about to kill Vegeta, though.

Well, just to reiterate, the point was to make the future timeline look utterly hopeless.

I hope this isn't off topic but I figured it would be better to ask this question here since we are already discussing the future time frame. Anyways I wanted to know whenever you guys watch the History of Trunks do you ever go back and watch the episode where he goes back and kills the androids ? For me this is a must. Something doesn't sit right with me until I see trunks go back and get his revenge.
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.
If we're all here for a reason then I'm just visiting.
If it's held in your heart then you can't let go.

Yeah, I would do the same as well. When you see SSJ Trunks combat the Androids on the movie in comparison to the battle in the episode, it's completely different, and both are one-sided.

God, that episode made up for how miserably bad the end of the Cell games was. It was just so awesome to see Mirai get to go back and kick some ass.
I haven't watched the Mirai special in so long because it's so damn depressing. But I really should watch it again...

Seriously, when he's beating on the Androids, the fear in their eyes makes my spine tingle. I
love it.
