Since Viz didn't translate any of the few pictures with text (except Toriyama's farewell message, it looks like), I went and translated them so you can know what they're all about.

Title page with dead Goku on a motorcycle
...I'm dead....

Comic where Goku and Vegeta play video games
1 Vegeta: Tsuaaaaa~!!!!
2 Goku: Uahh!!! Da...dammittt~!!!
3 Vegeta: I did it!!!! I did it!!! I've finally won against Kakarot!!
4 Vegeta: Hahahahahah!!!

Picture with Piccolo and Gohan
Piccolo: It's the 25th anniversary of Shounen Jump?...hmph...So what?
Gohan: Con-congratulati~ons!!
Kanzenshuu: Is that place still around?
Sometimes, I tweet things
We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

 I love Piccolo's unfettered manner.

I wish Viz would advertise this thing; only 4 people have placed orders for it at my BnN as of yesterday. ^^; It won't sell as well if people don't know about it.
On hiatus.

Alright man, thanks. I will check this when I finally finally have my own copy in my hands.

Went to my local Barnes & Noble tonight. Randomly saw a few copies on the shelf, breezed through one of them. I'm assuming nothing was removed? The print quality, etc. looked fantastic. On par with the earlier One Piece Works books.
Umm... just call me Remy, already. :p

Never doubt Dragonball. Daizenshuu 1 is number 1 in two categories and number 2 in Viz's bestsellers as of right now.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Where did you get that information? If it's true then I hope it entices them to release the other Daizenshuu.

It's from the Amazon.com sales records. And yes, if VIZ is smart they will see this as a reason to release the rest of the Daizenshuu.

The figures were like that when I check Daizenshuu 1's page on Amazon.com. The numbers change every hour, but the book has been ranked high for days now.

Reading that thing about how it's actually selling well, I guess more people are aware of this daizenshuu release than I thought . Whenever I see stuff like manga art books in the book store, I never see more than four or s copies at one time. Maybe it's because they take up too much space, but I always assumed it was because there wasn't that big of a market for them. I mean, why else do I always see Van Gogh art books in the bargain books section?

Anyways, I checked over at the local Barnes and Noble, only to find no daizenshuu waiting for me there. I guess I'll just order it on amazon. I don't start school until mid September, so it's not like I absolutely can't afford to wait or anything.

I would like to remind everyone who owns this English release to write a review of it on Amazon. I've put mines up just now.

Looks like it's pretty much the same as the original. They moved the circle with Shenlong down to where the book number was on the original, and put something else above "Dragon Ball" (the Viz logo maybe? I can't quite make it out).

Always nice to see uncensored middle fingers. But I assume there's no Shenlong Times?

'Fraid not. I wasn't really expecting it, but it still was a little surprising, since I thought Viz would've jumped at the chance to advertise a Jackie Chan interview. Oh well.

Anyway, I was exploring the area around my mall today, and apparently, in addition to the Waldenbooks inside the mall itself and a Barnes & Noble down the street from it, there's also a Borders hidden accross the street from it that I had never noticed before, and I've been going to that mall since I was born! It's up on a hill and you can't see it from the road due to surrounding stores blocking it from view. Only an extremely tiny sign by the road confirms its existance. So yeah, apparently, nobody else knows about it either, because I was the only one there shopping. It was so awesome; I feel like I own my own personal bookstore.

But I digress. They had the English Daizenshuu, in addition to DBZ VizBig volume 2, but I only bought the former (I thought the hardcover collector's editions were only going to be for volume one of each series, but since everybody seems SO positive that Viz will release the whole series this way, I guess I'll wait and see too.). The sad thing is that I didn't want it to get damaged at college, so I took it home for safe keeping and then went back to my dorm. I only got to flip through it.

So basically, I finally have a perfect English release of a Daizenshuu, and I can't get anywhere near it at the moment. And it's driving. Me. Crazy.

Oh well. At least I now own my own personal bookstore.
