Huh... The listing still says "In Stock," but Amazon still says it won't ship until August 19th...

Anyone have any idea what's going on here? I ordered this with the MGS boxset (Yay, free shipping?), and I got a shipping conformation for that, but not my Daizenshuu.

Ah, well. I'm looking forward to this either way. It looks like they did a really great job. My copy of Daizenshuu #7 won't be so lonely now!

Herms said : Herms said: I didn't know there was both a hardcover and paperback edition. In fact I think there is only a hardcover edition, and Amazon just incorrectly lists it as a paperback (or at least that's what Tanooki Kuribo's experience seems to indicate).
Really ? I hope you're right. I don't mind paperbacks but this is a Daizenshuu we're talking about.

Paper back will bend, like the tankoubon, and hardcover will feel like a really tough cardboard, almost with the strength of plastic. The big Harry Potter books (which are super easy to get a hold of from friends or the library) are a good example of what a hardcover book feels like. You definitely be able to tell if it's hardcover or not when you get it.

That sounds just like what happend to Tanooki Kuribo. On Amazon there only seems to be one page for DragonBall: The Complete Illustrations, which lists it as "paperback". So I think it's safe to assume that there really is only a single, hardcover edition that's been labled incorrectly.

Yeah I figured as much. It's a nice collection of art. I uh...certainly hope they come out with a Daizenshuu that is more uh "content heavy" in the future though.

Thank you very much, I do try to be helpful!

I remember when I was just getting the hang of being a forum member and I PM'd Herms and thanked him for being such a helpful guy, since he was pretty much the person I most wanted to be like as far as being so informative and helpful to everyone. I know that I'm still not even close to how helpful Herms is, but thank you for letting me know that I'm at least being helpful to some extent.

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Just picked up a copy at Barnes & Noble. I love it. I especially like the Toriyama interview at the end. (Never knew he modeled Goku's uniform from monk training robes. Nice!)

I seriously hope Viz continues releasing the Daizenshuu.

Oh that's some cool info to know. :D

I tried both the Borders and BDalton at Quakerbridge Mall; nothing. :(

I'm gonna try the Borders out past the mall tomorrow if I can.
On hiatus.

Actually, I misread that. He got Goku's uniform color from the training robes. Whoops. :P

Interesting Toriyama only liked one picture he drew after ten years.
It is the one that looks like an ostrich mecha, page 88.
Gohan: "You're a Buddhist." Kuririn: "A hungry Buddhist!"

Uh... Yeah, I know. Hence my confusion.

I wouldn't be confused as to why my shipdate was listed as the 19th if a handful of people hadn't already gotten theirs via Amazon. Thanks, though.

I'm just gonna chalk it up to FSS Shipping or something...

I went to Amazon to order the daizenshuu and funimation's "remastered" seasons 1,2, and 6 sets eariler today and it says:

Shipping estimate for these items: September 22, 2008

Does this mean I'm gonna have to wait a month+ to get my daizenshuu. I've never ordered anything on Amazon before so if anyone could clear that up for me so I don't have to worry about waiting, I would greatly apprieciate it :)

P.S I live in New Jersey so what the hell is going on!
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.

Season 6 isn't released until Sept. 22, so that's why. They should ship the other items as soon as they're available (which should be in a day or two) but if they continue to say that they won't ship any of the items until season 6 is out than just remove it from your cart and let your other items ship. Once they get to you you can put season 6 back on the cart and it will ship to you as soon as it gets released, maybe even a few days early.

Welcome to the forums! I'm starting to think that New Jersey is the official Dragonball Headquarters within the US. Just out of curiosity, how did you come across Daizenshuu EX?

I remember on one of the old podcasts, Mike said that it seemed all his listeners were either from New Jersey or somewhere outside the US. It must be something in the water.

oh yeah I forgot season 6 won't be released until september. Alright. Well I came across Daizenshuu EX about a month ago when I was skimming DBZ Burst Limit boards on IGN. Someone mentioned the overseas Dragonball Online game and he said that if theres any news about it, Daizenshuu EX would be the first to have it. So I wanted to see what Daizenshuu EX was all about and now here I am. I never knew there could be one site that could hold so much fandom. VegettoEX and the others are on top of the game. they post all the news, releases, and give their opinion. I love it here. Its all about the Dragonball world here and thats what I love.
