I will keep my hopes. I see lots of demand for more Daizenshuu; here Daizex and else where. It is true that many European countries got like one Daizenshuu, my home land Denmark. But I really don't think there was enough demand for the Daizenshuus in Europe. I don't have any numbers to support this but that is what I gather.Adamant wrote:I wouldn't keep my hopes up. A lot of countries got this book long before you did, and very few of them got any others. The first getting released doesn't in any way imply the possibility of getting any more out there, and thinking it's going to happen is being way too optimistic.
That is unfortunate...I'll still pre-order it if I see it on Amazon.SSj_Rambo wrote:Nothing has been announced, and even if they do release more we probably won't hear about it for another couple of months.

I don't know about that. I don't see why there would be any less demand for the daizenshuu among European fans than there would be among American ones. Do you have a source for that?Forgotten Hero wrote: It is true that many European countries got like one Daizenshuu, my home land Denmark. Not really, but when I was back in Denmark this summer I couldn't find any Daizenshuu. I finally found the first one for an unreasonable price, and learn that no new ones were released. Carlson Manga does manga for, I think, most of Scandinavia. They didn't get Daizenshuu either, so yeah.Herms wrote:I don't know about that. Also, it is not that I don't think Europe has DBZ fans at all. But I am sure they don't have as many fans as we do here in the states. Plus this is America, anything to make quick buck.

I picked the Free Super Saver Shipping so I had to pick the option to group all the items in a single package. Will they possibly ignore that and ship the items as they become available anyway? This billing and shipping stuff just gets too confusing.SSj_Rambo wrote:Season 6 isn't released until Sept. 22, so that's why. They should ship the other items as soon as they're available (which should be in a day or two) but if they continue to say that they won't ship any of the items until season 6 is out than just remove it from your cart and let your other items ship. Once they get to you you can put season 6 back on the cart and it will ship to you as soon as it gets released, maybe even a few days early.Krakabeast wrote:I went to Amazon to order the daizenshuu and funimation's "remastered" seasons 1,2, and 6 sets eariler today and it says:
Shipping estimate for these items: September 22, 2008
Welcome to the forums! I'm starting to think that New Jersey is the official Dragonball Headquarters within the US. Just out of curiosity, how did you come across Daizenshuu EX?
Gohan: At least he doesn't have his sword out anymore.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.
Kuririn: Yeah, and your dad put his finger away too.
I'm not an expert on Amazon.com, but I'm pretty sure that they will wait until everything is available to ship anything. So your best bet is to remove season 6 from the bundle.Krakabeast wrote:I picked the Free Super Saver Shipping so I had to pick the option to group all the items in a single package. I put season 6 in a different order and now my daizenshuu shall be arriving much sooner.SSj_Rambo wrote:I'm not an expert on Amazon.com, but I'm pretty sure that they will wait until everything is available to ship anything. Yeah I split it all into 3 seperate orders.Forgotten Hero wrote:That would be wise, like you said pre-order it later.
First: Daizenshuu + Dragonball movie 3-pack
Second: 1st + 2nd seasons
Third: 6th season
I feel pretty bad for the mailman.

You could have put seasons 1 and 2 on the first order.Krakabeast wrote:Yeah I split it all into 3 seperate orders.Forgotten Hero wrote:That would be wise, like you said pre-order it later.

So they actually did use the word "daizenshuu"? Where is it written?INVINCEABLE wrote:I got the book yesterday at my local Borders. It was $24.99. Funny how Daizenshu is written inside the book, but left untranslated on the cover.
I don't know, it's extremely unlikely that a manga translating company would be so ignorant of the title of the book they were translating. They probably just left it that way for aesthetic reasons.Forgotten Hero wrote:lol, they probably didn't know better.

I wasn't trying to demean Viz in anywayHerms wrote:I don't know, it's extremely unlikely that a manga translating company would be so ignorant of the title of the book they were translating. They probably just left it that way for aesthetic reasons.
They probably didn't know what Daizenshuu meant or anything.
It is in the back. "DRAGON BALL DAIZENSHU: COMPLETE ILLUSTRATIONS"
Yes, they spell it with one u.

But they pretty much have to. Toriyama uses zenshuu in the book introduction, and they translated that fine (as "complete works", if I remember right), and daizenshuu just means "big zenshuu". So they know what the word means, and if they leave it untranslated it's probably because fans are most familiar with it that way, or because "big complete works" doesn't sound quite as cool.Forgotten Hero wrote:I wasn't trying to demean Viz in anyway :?

Could you please scan a few pictures? I'm thinking of getting this.Forgotten Hero wrote:They probably though they sounded smart by calling "The Complete Illustrations," which is fine. That is what the book is anyway.
If you don't have the new Viz Daizenshuu, just ask me. I'll scan it, or whta ever.
Is that why they waited 10 years after introducing the series before releasing a single daizenshuu?Forgotten Hero wrote: Also, it is not that I don't think Europe has DBZ fans at all.
