This is a very good summary of the way Viz does translations, though it's not always as bad as with One Piece. Whenever I say "Oh, Viz has this or that bit of dialog wrong", I'm not saying that I know more about Japanese than Viz's translators, but that they altered the translation to make it flow better, to jazz it up, to make fun of the old Funi dub, or whatever reason.mrkaizoku wrote:I think that VIZ has translators that are (in all likely hood) very good at their jobs, but the people who are localizing their manga are the people screwing it up.
